Banfield Pet Hospital Reviews
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by two of the friendliest receptionists , they made me feel so welcome. They both were welcoming, attentive, and made the check-in process a breeze, which set the tone for the rest of the visit. The veterinary team was also wonderful. They took the time to thoroughly explain the care my pet needed and answered all of my questions with patience and kindness. It's clear that they truly care about the animals they treat despite some of these negative reviews. The clinic itself was clean, well-organized, and had a calm atmosphere, which made my pet feel at ease.
Jun 26, 2025 · StormyI was skeptical after seeing some of these reviews but it seems that possibly there were adjustments to the staff because we had a great experience. Both my fur ball and I were nervous but we were greeted in an extremely friendly manner, the assistant made my little guy confident and built trust, the vet was very thorough and addressed all of my concerns. Other exams were suggested but not pushed. We left very confident in returning for a follow up.
Jul 02, 2025 · Liza VegaI've been bringing my rescues to Banfield for at least 11 years. The vets and staff know that some of my rescues are highly anxious and have always been accommodating to us. I always receive a detailed explanation of all of the testing and results as well as recommendations. Everyone addresses all of my pets by name and treats them with kindness and patience. One of my furbabies (rip) used to love going for his twice yearly exams, I would drop him off (per the wellness plan) so he could hang out with the staff for a few hours while getting his exam and blood work done! Very grateful for everyone.
Feb 19, 2025 · rescue iz loveDISGUSTED and DISAPPOINTED! We have been going to Banfield pet hospital for over 13 years. We have 5 pets on their Wellness plan. When we moved to MA the closest locations to us were Manchester and Glastonbury. After being insulted by a vet at the Manchester location (when he called our deaf rescue puppy “stupid”), we switched to the Glastonbury location. Although some of the techs are kind, they really need to move on because this location is a pathetic HOT MESS! One of their receptionists is consistently rude, dismissive, unhelpful and has a horrible attitude. If that wasn’t reason enough to find yourself elsewhere, the last time we were at their location (previous to today’s visit) we had X-rays done for our dog and were quoted a price of about $200 (for a cough). We went with it and waited for results at the location which took about 2 hours. Turns out they had only quoted the price to “read” the X-rays. The actual price at check out was over $600. We were livid. Because they were at fault they removed the $200 consultation fee but charged us the rest. Now on to today’s drama, when we called an over a month ago and booked an appointment for all of our pets to be seen for shots and comprehensive exams it was 5:50 on a Monday night. They close at 6:00. Whoever we spoke to never put our appointment in. So we showed up this morning after dragging all 5 pets out of the house at 8:30 AM on a Saturday, traveling the hour away to Glastonbury only to arrive and be told we didn’t have an appointment and they had no room to take us because both their vets had to leave by 2:00. The location closes at 5:00 pm on Saturdays.I was so angry and inquired how that could possibly have happened. They said they didn’t know. Well that isn’t good enough. When I tried to force the issue, the front desk staff (one of whom was particularly rude and told me there was not only no appointment, there was a note in the system that said they were no longer seeing all of our pets at the same time. News to me since it was the last person I spoke to, who said I should just bring them all in cause “everyone was due for something. But, I digress)…made me feel like I was in the wrong. They asked when I called and booked the appointment “because they have been booked up for a month.” I gave them the date and time (10/21/24) and they completely ignored my response and told us we would have to reschedule and even then they would be “squeezing us in.”I have shown up for appointments at this location and watched that same rude receptionist sit on her phone and watch a sports game while I stood there waiting to be checked in or out. I don’t recommend this location to anyone. Like I have said before, I hope the couple decent techs move on and find a more reputable place/location to go to.For the amount of money we pay a month (over $300) for our pets, this type of service is despicable. Just find somewhere else to get your animal care.
