Banfield Pet Hospital Reviews
I usually go to a different location but they couldn't see me for a week, so I checked this location and got in for a drop off the next day. Aterra was very kind and patient getting my cat Gary's history and even had Dr. Grube come in to check on him before I dropped him off which I appreciated. The guy at the front desk was very nice too...I'll admit I'm an over the top cat mom but, they all listened and didn't make me feel bad about it 😅 Signing up for a wellness plan also made his illness visit alot more affordable today. Thanks guys!
May 12, 2025 · Kelli WAbsolutely terrible!! No attention to detail to our pet. Unprofessional and extremely unorganized. Over an hour wait with a dog that has anxiety, but 4 people come in and get seen in that hour we were waiting. NoCommunication whatsoever, even though they seen us waiting for over an hour and seen our dog getting super anxious nobody said a word to us. When we inquired about our wait time, we are answered with a loud & rude response! Our pet has came here for quite a while and everytime they never have answers to any of our questions. We will no longer return to this location. Very unprofessional and unorganized!!! We will be canceling our wellness plan and finding a new vet.
Jul 19, 2025 · Brian SparksANY POSITIVE REVIEWS ON THIS LOCATION ARE PROBABLY BRIBESHey Banfield Pet Hospital, since you don't want to answer your emails, we can make this public record. Your Livonia location loves selling expired heartworm preventatives, too. This is a formal complaint regarding the Banfield location at 13150 Middlebelt Rd, Livonia, MI 48150I originally made an appointment online and was quoted at 150 as long as I enrolled, which I agreed to.I WAS NOT GIVEN THE OPTION AT THE APPOINTMENTI was forced to pick a different location and was told I would be required to "drop him off" I told them it wasn't a good idea as my dog was abused before I adopted him and he has an unknown history (he is very sweet but also extremely nervous with new people) they allowed me to wait and then told me less than 5 minutes later I was needed because "he will not hold still for us" which is exactly what I told them would happen...Fast forward to April 3rd and I put in a chewy order for his heartworm preventative. They have all but flat out refused to fill his medication. I have called 5 times over the last few days and they keep saying it will be done. Chewy representatives have reached out as well to Banfield and it is still pending. I had to actually clock out of work and drive to the location to get ANOTHER month's supply of medication because they don't care to do their jobs and "we close at 3 today" a whole 3 hours before they're scheduled to.I paid in cash and was given attitude about how "we haven't got our cash till yet, you really should pay with a card" My dog had heartworms when I adopted him a year ago and we aren't looking to go through that again. I hope somebody can make things right because I was overcharged in the first place for such terrible care, George means the world to our family. Thank you in advance for your time!
Apr 10, 2025 · ShayAfter a rude experience with the front desk lady Aterria, (who by the way should not be working with people. Her attitude was so bad. I wanted to really snatch her up but I didn't) Heather stepped in and did an amazing job. She was friendly kind to our situation. Very informative. She even got on her hands and knees to sanitize the floor because the room wasn't clean. Again Aterria didn't make sure the room was clean ugh this girl got on my last nerves. But Heather saved the day! She is the reason I gave 5 stars. I recommend HER. Thank you Heather 😊 🙏🏾
May 02, 2025 · Ms. Brown SugarWe've had our dog for over nine years, and for the most part have always had a pleasant experience dealing with the team at the Livonia Banfield Hospital. The last year or so the quality of service has decreased. Today was a downright horrible experience. My wife took our dog Caesar in at 10:15 am this morning because of severe vomiting and diarrhea; they just got home at 6 pm. This was the WORST experience ever!! First the vet said he needed an IV because he was dehydrated due to the vomiting but you kept him ALL DAY without giving him a IV. Second, your team took X-rays around 1:15 pm but did notify my wife of the results from the X-rays until she literally had to raise her voice at the receptionist. The vet finally talks to my wife at 3:30 pm to inform her that nothing could be detected on the X-rays; however, the X-rays needed to be sent out for further observation for 24 to 48 hours; and about the medication she would be taking home. An hour and a half goes by, and no one has come back out to talk to her. At that point, she notices the vet with her bookbag on preparing to leave at 5 pm once again WITHOUT coming back to give my wife the medication as promised and most important WITHOUT Caesar. How did we go from a critical situation at 10:15 am, but you kept our dog in the back without any medication or any IV until 5:30 pm. This is completely unacceptable, and I will never patronize this Banfield again. I am highly disappointed as a long-time customer.
