Banfield Pet Hospital Introduce
For many Oklahoma residents in the Tulsa area, **Banfield Pet Hospital** at Tulsa Hills represents a convenient and systemized approach to pet healthcare. As a well-known national network of veterinary care, this facility operates as both a **Veterinarian** and an **Animal Hospital**, providing a broad spectrum of services designed to support a pet’s health throughout their entire life. The hospital's model emphasizes **Preventative Care**, often centered around its signature Optimum Wellness Plans, which offer bundled services to make routine care more accessible and affordable for Tulsa pet owners.
The hospital’s goal is to be a reliable partner in pet ownership, offering everything from routine annual **Vaccinations** and **Comprehensive Exams** to more involved procedures like **General Surgery** and advanced diagnostics. Customers who have used the Banfield model for many years often cite the ease of access to care and the consistent professionalism of the veterinarians and technicians across different locations as a significant benefit. Many appreciate that the standardized approach ensures a baseline of care and fantastic follow-up after service.
However, the experience for Oklahoma clients at any clinic, including Banfield, is heavily influenced by the on-site staff. While some clients consistently report a fantastic experience with friendly doctors who take time to get to know their dogs, others have noted issues with staff changes and difficulty in getting necessary medication refills without a recent exam. There have also been instances where clients felt there was a disconnect between the clinic's assessment of a pet's quality of life, particularly in **End of Life Care**, and the owner's perspective. This highlights the importance of open communication and finding a specific veterinarian within the system who understands and supports the family’s needs, a sentiment echoed by a client who stayed only for a particular excellent doctor.
The Banfield Pet Hospital at Tulsa Hills is strategically located for maximum convenience within a high-traffic retail area. The official address is **7322 S Olympia Ave, Tulsa, OK 74132, USA**. This facility is often situated directly inside the PetSmart store at the Tulsa Hills Shopping Center, making it incredibly convenient for pet owners to combine veterinary visits with necessary pet supply shopping. Its location near the intersection of West 71st Street South and the Okmulgee Expressway ensures easy access from various parts of South Tulsa and the surrounding Oklahoma suburbs.
The clinic provides necessary features to ensure accessibility for all clients. Specifically, the facility offers a **Wheelchair accessible parking lot**, which facilitates easier entry and exit for those with mobility constraints. While the accessibility information focuses on parking, its location within a modern retail center generally ensures straightforward movement within the immediate area.
In line with contemporary customer service standards, the clinic is noted as **LGBTQ+ friendly**, maintaining a welcoming and inclusive environment for all Oklahoma pet families. Due to the high volume of clients, the clinic requires or recommends planning ahead: an **Appointment is required**, or at least **Appointments recommended**, to ensure timely service and dedicated attention for each pet. Pet owners are advised to call ahead or use the online booking system to schedule their visits efficiently.
As a modern, full-service **Veterinarian** and **Animal Hospital**, the Tulsa Hills Banfield location offers a comprehensive suite of medical, preventative, and surgical services for both dogs and cats. The available services are designed to manage a pet's health from puppyhood through their senior years:

For Oklahoma pet owners in South Tulsa, what makes **Banfield Pet Hospital** worth choosing is the combination of structured convenience and its commitment to preventative medicine. The value proposition is strongest for those who utilize the **Optimum Wellness Plans®**, which successfully manage the ongoing, routine costs of pet ownership, covering everything from **Vaccinations** to free office visits. The location inside PetSmart is a major time-saver, streamlining pet care into a single errand.
However, potential clients should be aware that the corporate, high-volume model sometimes presents challenges with staff continuity and personalized, highly sensitive discussions, particularly regarding the nuances of **End of Life Care**. While many pet owners have excellent, decade-long relationships with the veterinarians, others have experienced high staff turnover. Therefore, it is important to utilize the system for its strengths—accessible, routine care, and advanced diagnostics like **Ultrasonography**—while being proactive about communicating deeply personal concerns. Ultimately, for pet owners who value organized, accessible, and preventative-focused care, Banfield Pet Hospital at Tulsa Hills offers a highly functional and efficient solution for their pet's health needs.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- You know we take it for granted the ease and access to good healthcare for our pets, our best friends. I’ve been using Banfield now for over 10 years with 8 different animals and had nothing but great and positive experiences over the last decade. The veterinarians at each locations in Austin and Tulsa have all been fantastic. They’ve gone the extra mile to spend time with my dogs to get to know them and the follow up (after care) has been fantastic. The model works and I give it solid reviews. Thanks to everybody behind the scenes, the technicians, the nurses the doctors for always taking care my dogs. 🐶 - thank you Martyn August 16 · Martyn Buffler
- To add to our heartache, we called the vet to cancel our pet insurance because our baby went to doggy heaven last night. The lady gave us a number to call to cancel the plan. She didn't say anything else, not even a sorry for your loss or anything. Our baby has been going there for years (even before she worked there). We were there a lot because we always had to get refills on his 3 medications, shots, routine care, and had other babies that needed care. None of the old staff are there any more and the service is terrible. We have gone without medication refills because the "new" doctor hadn't seen our baby yet. They didn't offer to get it refilled anywhere else or give an emergency refill until he could be seen. We also asked about end of life for our baby because of his illnesses and side effects. They continued to tell us that he had "good quality of life." Because I work in hospice, I knew better so I called Lapse of Love Dog Hospice who are EDUCATED in end stages of illness and diseases. They listened and provided valuable information as to the stages of life our baby was in. Just because your baby is eating, drinking, and excited to see you does NOT mean that Congestive Heart Failure isn't taking its course or cant cause poor quality of life. Our baby was suffering and we ALL deserved better. We were concerned about our other baby who seemed depressed and gaining weight. The vet said he was just a "relaxed dog" who needed "exercise." Thankfully they had a DIFFERENT vet that tested his thyroid and sure enough, that was the culprit. We only stayed because of that one vet and now that he is gone, there is clearly no need for our business. August 18 · Mercedes Simpson
- I am extremely satisfied with the care my golden doodle has received at this facility over the past two years. Their commitment to his health is the top priority, which I greatly appreciate. Dr. Green provides thorough explanations regarding my furry companion's checkups and offers comprehensive guidance on maintaining his well-being. I will not seek care for him anywhere else. - Been taking my cats to Banfield going on 5 years now. I scheduled all 3 of my babies at this location after having an appointment with Dr. Murray while he was assisting my usual location on 71st. I felt like I was really heard for the first time! He address my concerns fully and even went out of his way to assist me on the sales floor to find hairball treatment. Today my cats were cared for by Dr. Green and I appreciate her patience, knowledge, and kindness so much! The staff at Tulsa Hills is incredible! Nothing feels rushed, they listen to your concerns and actually offer solutions! Im extremely impressed and know my cats are in great hands. I will be taking my babies here exclusively moving forward. Well worth the 30 minute drive!(Big shout out to their front receptionist as well for offering me a solution to an issue with my pets accounts Ive been wrestling with for at least 4 years. Thank you!) April 07 · Ashley Perciful
- They were fast about getting our Dog Rocky in to be seen for his issue, very friendly, and actually take time to listen to questions/worries/concerns you may have about your fur-babies . A Very big Thanks to Dr. Jang and his staff in Tulsa Hills for being friendly, efficient, and caring. I definitely recommend them to anyone else looking for a genuinely good vet, and clean environment. July 30 · Destiney Moore
