Banfield Pet Hospital Reviews
I've been using Banfield since I got my fur baby, she was just a pup. I have had nothing but good service and good information regarding her care. We have the Wellness plan which allows us to visit every 6 months it included her spay and includes an annual teeth cleaning. My concerns are always handled and questions are always answered in a way I understand. Everyone is so good with her and nice to me too. We are going on 9 years, thanks Banfield.
Dec 20, 2024 · Angie BTo Dr. Coe (the older lady with the autism shoes). Has no patience for the pets or owners. She should not be in this profession, and be talking down to people as if it their fault that their pet isn't cooperating. Each pet, as persons too have their own personality and quirks. If you can't be understanding or nice you shouldn't be in this field of work. It's very upsetting to have an experience like this from a vet. when we are trying to be responsible owners to our fur babies.I do not recommend this place if you want to be looked down on. If I could I would give negative stars.
Jul 04, 2025 · Tania GonzalezI took my 9 month old 18 lb puppy into Banfield, Reynoldsburg location on Sunday, June 2nd to get his nails clips. I was told over the phone that it would cost $24.00 if he had his rabies shot. If not, he would be administered the shots in be charged accordingly. I let them know that he had his rabies shots and they told me to bring in his paperwork during his visit. Which I did. The day of the appointment the technician asked me if he's had his nails done before I told her yes under anesthesia during his neutering. She told me she wasn't sure if she would be able to do the trim if he was unpleasant at all. She then took them to the back and came back with him no longer than 5 minutes later and told me he was "flailing around as soon as I touched his paw". And, that I would need to come back after giving him gabapentin and I would be charged $80!!! Which was a complete lie about my puppy. I went home and trim the puppy's hair around his nails myself and there was no flailing around as soon as I touched his paw. I handle his paws frequently so that the experience is not traumatizing for him. As this is not my first puppy. This place specializes in placing puppy parents In the position of having to agree to their up charges and that is criminal In my opinion. I would not recommend this place to any fur baby parent.
Jun 03, 2025 · Darla WilsonIf I could, I would give 0 star but in order to post this I have to choose 1Terrible experience! I’ve been a client since 2005, but I had to cancel my wellness plan due to their complete lack of responsibility and care—for both pets and their owners. They simply do not care if your pet is in pain. For example, my cat had a painful tooth infection that spread to his jaw. They made us wait seven days (with my cat in constant pain) for surgery. Then, on the day of the surgery, they left me a message saying they couldn’t do it—even though I had already sent all the necessary X-rays and test results in advance to confirm they were capable of handling the procedure.Their receptionist, Miss Bailey, assured me that the veterinarian had reviewed the exams and that their vets were skilled in even more complex surgeries. Yet, when the day arrived, they canceled last minute, leaving my cat suffering for another seven unnecessary days.If that wasn’t enough, I scheduled an appointment for my other cat, who was experiencing nausea and occasional vomiting. All he needed was a Cerenia injection and some exams done , But once again, on the day of the appointment, they canceled and told me to go to MedVet instead.Every time I needed help—no matter how simple the health issue is just like nausea , they told me to take my pet to MedVet, where YOU WILL SPEND OVER $1,000 just to get basic care. So, what’s the point of having a wellness plan if they can’t assist you when your pet needs them the most?I’ve reported them to the BBB (where banfiels already have over 1000 reports) and to the company that owns Banfield (Marss Corp) but nothing has been done. It’s clear that even the highest levels of this company don’t care about you or your pet., all they did was answer my email with this :We are sorry to hear that ! And that’s was all, not in moment they said , we are going to investigate all the reports and will do something about it ! NEVER DID THAT ! And I sent them 3 email with 3 different situations of this type of problem. At this point, all I can do is warn others. These people only care about money—not about actually helping animals. They avoid any complex issues and only handle simple cases. When real care is needed, they just push you off to someone else.( and that is not because they cannot do it. It’s because they do not want to do it. That is the difference.)I am canceling my wellness plan because it’s completely useless. They refuse to see my pets and instead send me to MedVet every time.On top of that, canceling appointments on the same day is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. They could have reviewed my cat’s exams upfront and told me immediately that they weren’t able to perform the surgery. Instead, they waited until the last second, making my cat suffer for an extra seven days. And why? Because their receptionist thinks she knows more than an actual veterinarian? Also, they needed to train their front staff receptionist in a better way to let them know that they are there to only schedule appointments and not to take decisions about complex health issues and questions about your pet health , meaning they CAN NOT act like they are veterinarians and make decisions because that is totally wrong!!!! And they take decisions the way they want also!Avoid this place at all costs
Mar 28, 2025 · Morgana PendragonI’ve been using Banfield Pet Hospital since I’ve owned my dog Koda a couple of months ago. The staff at the facility were extremely friendly and extremely professional! Dr. Kick was awesome with Koda and this will definitely be a place that will conduct his care going forward!
