We do our best to keep them managed, but the only time we can do a thorough job is when she’s sedated for her dental and other procedures.Last year, during her dental cleaning and routine preventative care, I received a call and rushed over, only to wait because she wasn’t ready—something that had happened multiple times before. On top of that, despite clear verbal and written agreements, her nails weren’t even looked at.Today, the same thing happened. She had her dental cleaning and other necessary care, yet her nails were once again neglected, despite my lengthy discussions with the administrative tech. At this point, I just have to take people at their word, but there’s no real way to confirm whether things are actually getting done.Even the consent paperwork—pink forms we sign—was being processed while I was reviewing it, until a tech abruptly took it from my hands. I simply wanted to ensure I wasn’t unknowingly signing off on something drastic, like euthanasia or donating my life savings to the hospital.Overall, the experience feels mediocre. I don’t care about whether people smile or are friendly—what matters is that the job gets done with some regard for my time and, most importantly, my dog’s health.Disappointed.

He’s been with us through some of our hardest days and our happiest ones. So when it came time for a check-up and care, we were nervous, as any pet parent would be. But from the moment we walked into Banfield, we felt something different. There was warmth. There was patience. There was love.The staff didn’t just see Rocco—they understood him. They spoke to him gently, gave him space when he needed it, and comforted him when he was unsure. My cat has seizures, and instead of providing a safe flea treatment recommendation, they gave me Revolution Plus—which contains an ingredient known to increase seizure risk. When I expressed my concerns, they basically told me to ‘risk it and see,’ rather than offering an alternative or doing any research. I had to find out on my own that there are safer options like Advantage II or regular Revolution. If I hadn’t done my own research, I could have unknowingly put my cat in danger. It’s clear that the staff here is more focused on selling what they’re told rather than truly understanding pet health. If you have an animal with medical conditions, don’t expect them to go the extra mile to ensure safety. I’ll be finishing my wellness plan, but I won’t be renewing.
