I can’t thank Dr. Thornhill and the team at Barbershill Animal Hospital enough for the incredible care they gave my cat, Marsh. When he suddenly stopped eating and became very lethargic, Dr. Thornhill was not only kind and compassionate, but incredibly thorough and knowledgeable. After running tests and performing an X-ray, she discovered that Marsh had somehow swallowed a Nerf gun bullet, which had become lodged in his intestines.She scheduled surgery for the very next day, but after the operation, Marsh needed more intensive care, including an oxygen chamber that the clinic didn’t have. Dr. Thornhill went above and beyond—she personally called a facility that could provide the care he needed and referred us immediately. What truly amazed me is that even after Marsh was transferred, Dr. Thornhill stayed in contact with the other vet to follow up and make sure he was doing okay.Once Marsh was stable and returned home, she also handled his post-op care and follow-up visit with the same level of dedication and warmth.It’s rare to find a vet who treats their patients like their own pets. Dr. Thornhill is truly one of a kind, and I’m so grateful for everything she did for Marsh!
