Features / Highlights
What truly sets Baycrest Veterinary Hospital apart is its dedication to compassionate and communicative care, even during the most difficult of times. While a single negative review highlights a communication breakdown, it also points to the fact that the primary veterinarian, Dr. Kat, intervened personally to address a concern, showing a commitment to client satisfaction. This isolated incident is in stark contrast to the numerous positive testimonials that highlight the clinic's professionalism and care. A key highlight is the staff’s efficiency, as noted by a client who was taken back for their appointment "right away," just 20 minutes before the scheduled time. This demonstrates their commitment to organization and client respect. Another major highlight is the clear communication provided by the veterinarians. A happy Boxer owner praised Dr. Arthur for being "communicative with everything she was doing and straight to the point with the plan ahead." This transparency builds trust and gives pet owners peace of mind. The clinic is also commended for its "reasonable" prices, reinforcing their mission that cost should not be a barrier to quality healthcare. Furthermore, the staff's ability to handle pets with kindness is a major feature, with a client noting that the vet tech, Linda, was "great with our dog." These positive experiences, which are the overwhelming majority, underscore the clinic's dedication to providing a high standard of care in a welcoming and professional environment.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I am a bit devastated that if I didn’t keep perusing something wrong with my 1 year old kitten i have no idea what would have happened. I took her in because her belly was enlarged. After Xrays the new vet there stated she was constipated and I was excited that was it so yes, I spent the almost $400 for the visit to have her relieved of constipation and left her there to be sedated and taken cared of. Got probiotics, pumpkin food for her but still enlarged belly. Called asking if the X-rays would show any other issues. No call back. Called again asking AGAIN and was told yes and I am just a worried Mom if she is acting fine. Well I finally asked for a copy of the X-rays to take her for another opinion and when picking them up the main Vet, Kat came out and said it was the first time she saw them and she noticed a mass of some sort and to go get an ultrasound. I was furious. A few months later I am being told this thinking my kitten was just possibly over weight a bit? When I showed the X-rays to another Animal Hospital I asked if she looked constipated and was told not really. What a waste of money and time at that appt even tho the new vet was very sweet and seemed to really care, She didn’t follow through reviewing the X-rays to the main vet and did not call me back when I called. Oh, and they told me to bring in some stool to test and I paid for a parasite test when I was there as well. Did they do a parasite test that I paid for?
August 17 · A RamseyTook our Boxer for her first vet visit at Baycrest to have a tumor biopsied. The staff was very efficient, we were there 20 minutes before appt time and taken back right away. The vet tech Linda was great with our dog. Dr. Arthur was communicative with everything she was doing and straight to the point with the plan ahead. Prices are reasonable. Happy we found this place!
April 26 · Matt BThis is the most amazing vet I have ever been to. They obviously got into this because they love animals. What to expect...(1) Not the fanciest office, which I actually appreciate. I hate paying the costs of fancy flooring my sick dog is going to puke on anyways.(2) Stable staff. They always know what's going on and are organized.(3) Vet techs. Absolutely delightful human beings. Every last one of them. They all obviously love what they do and love their office.(4) Competent doctors. I have had 3 pups in there with them over the years... sometimes with major situations like needing surgery... and I have never had to go back twice.(5) Affordable. As vet prices keep going up, theirs hasn't! Their business model is set up to sustainably keep costs down... we collequially went down a rabbit hole conversation about the industry, but these are some very smart vets. :)Who this place probably isn't for...(1) If you are the type of person who wears high heels to the vet "just because", probably not for you. They are Point A - Point B, no frills / free coffee, get your pet healthy vets. They stay extremely busy and don't need those gimmicks.(2) If you have an emergency, take them to the emergency vet. These guys are popular and stay busy. They aren't set up to triage like an emergency vet would (nor are they advertising they do emergency services).
March 22 · Rochelle BarberSo grateful to have found this place. Previously went to VCA who turns out was commercialized and bought by M&M’s. Makes sense considering the decrease in care and the increase in price. I was informed Baycrest is one of the only independent animal hospitals in the area.Everyone who works there is so nice and they took such great care of my cat. My sweet girl is almost 12 and had a pretty big growth by her tail. They set up her appointment and surgery very quickly for us. Never been put under or had a procedure done so I was very worried but they reassured me.She did so well and they took amazing care of her. Her stitches and incision spot look very clean and she’s comfortable even though she’s healing because of the meds and the care they took with her. I will definitely be going to them forever (or as long as I live in Florida!) Thank you everyone at Baycrest.
