★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- Our puppy Kai had an injured toe and poor guy needed a Doc. We brought him in without an appt. and they got us in ASAP and took care of him right away. Did a great job and our ai is already running around and back to being a playful pup. I can't say thanks enough. Oh, they also trimmed all his other nails and buffed them down...we have never been able to do such a great job..Amazing...I highly recommend Canadian Valley Animal to everyone for all your vet needs. They stayed open a little longer just to help me and I appreciate them tremendously. They showed so much care and love❤️I just want to say thank you for everything we lost our baby but I know he is ok now.he was part of the family he was loving and happy loved to snuggle. it made him smile . He loved the park with the kids hated swings lol but he was an amazing baby . he did the craziest things but that just made him even more special . June 14 · Audelia Calderon
- We had to put our German Shepherd down yesterday, and the clinic was very compassionate to what we were going through, and they gave us plenty of time to mourn and process. Thank you!! Their prices for euthanasia and cremation are the best in the metro as well. I highly recommend. July 02 · Jon P.
- Took my Weimaraner Cooper who was acting sick, had a large lump on his snout and abscess' down his back and had lost quite a bit of weight to the vet here. The younger vet saw Coop and with out a CBC ruled that the lump on his nose was a bee sting and seemed unrelated to the other instances of abcess' on his back. Gave him antibiotics, a shot of Benadryl and a shot of steroids, and said something about him being due for his yearly shots. I wasn't sure shots were s good idea since he wasn't feeling well but she assured me that it was ok and gave him his vaccinations(this was a Friday). By Monday he was laboring to breathe, lethargic, not eating his dog food, acting very weird and the color of his almost white eyes had changed to rust and looked like they were bleeding internally. Called them immediately and drove directly there and finally saw Dr. Parrot who diagnosed cooper with a fungal infection that had spread beyond his lungs, to his eyes and through his body. The x-ray of his lungs looked terrible, she said that he needed antifungals and could not guarantee his recovery as it was pretty bad. Started the antifungals immediately, and while he showed some progress his lungs and breathing digressed, on Tuesday I drove to Mountain View, Oklahoma to get him specially compounded medicine which only made it worse. It completely removed what little appetite he had and that made him too weak to do much, but was still getting up and drinking water and going outside to pee. So I thought maybe the worst was over and he would turn a corner, I stayed at his side for 3 days and by Wednesday evening he was no longer walking, was not responding to visual stimulation, and the water he would try to drink would pour out of his mouth, barely swallowing any. We rushed him to Neel in the city, and by 8pm he had passed away. The vet seemed so perplexed as to why, THE FIRST VET WOULD HAVE GIVEN HIM HIS VACCINES WHILE HE WAS SICK! The only reason I am giving 2 stars is for Dr. Parrott. As a pet owner you explicitly trust the vet, the education they received in schooling, the training and hands on, and when they say it's nothing but "a bee sting" you believe them, because who are you to know better? It sucks that the trust I had in the Vet, the trust to have my pets best interest at heart, was taken advantage of to sell a few more vaccinations that I ended up paying 100 dollars for. But none of that matters now because Coop is dead. March 17 · Sarah Gaines
- Absolutely traumatizing experience — for both me and my dog.I brought my dog Toast in for his routine shots. He's a very friendly dog but not with cats. When we arrived, there was a cat freely roaming the waiting room. I politely asked the staff if they could please put the cat away, as he has a high prey drive and this could escalate quickly. One of the vet techs dismissively responded as if they knew my dog better than me.I had to insist that they remove the cat, and only after exchanging a look with each other did someone finally pick it up and take it to the back. Strike one.We were then left waiting in the exam room for over 50 minutes past our scheduled time, with no updates or apologies. By the time the vet and assistant came in, Toast was already on edge. He barked and growled which is not like him and instead of giving us any kind of heads up, they immediately tried to force a muzzle onto him while she panicked and tried to escape — not attack, not lunge, just run away. I offered to put the muzzle on myself to make it easier on him, and they refused, saying “we have to do it.”It gets worse — they then tried to kick me out of the room so they could “spend time with him alone,” after they had just physically wrangled him and forced a muzzle on. So anyone with a dog will now understand that my dog was probably extremely stressed, traumatised and frightened because of their actions.I told them they could do the shots with me present or I’d take him elsewhere. They finally gave the shots — and then I was charged double the usual rate for an “aggressive dog handling fee.” even though the aggressive behaviour was due to them and the environment that THEY had caused. My dog wasn’t aggressive. He was scared, and their mishandling made everything worse. What’s more, I was treated like an inconvenience the entire time, and my dog like a problem to be subdued instead of a living being in distress.I will never bring Toast back here again. If your pet is nervous, reactive, or just needs a little more compassion, do yourself and your animal a favor: go somewhere else.It isn't worth it and the people who work here should be ashamed of themselves and have better training and more compassion. They claim they want to help animals, I beg to differ. June 23 · Kirsty A
