★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1First off I will say that I am thankful when I called about my puppy lethargic, not eating or drinking and lame back legs to bring her in right away. However I am disappointed in the lack of communication. I signed a form stating that I could pay $200 and if the cost would be over that I would be notified of charges to approve any further treatment. The vet called me twice. The first update to say she was unsure of what was wrong as the ultrasound was normal and said that a urinalysis and CBC would show if she had infection. No where in the conversation did the Vet say this will put you over $200. When I went to pick up my puppy and was told the total was $459 I was very upset. I explained that I would be notified if it would go over and was not. The tech went to talk to the vet and came back and said the vet was sorry charges were not discussed. This put me in a big financial bind. I even asked if I could pay half now and the other when I got paid next. I am very disappointed in the customer service at this clinic and will not utilize their services any longer.
August 08 · Claire BrownTook my dog here because she had a huge bump on her ear. Come to find out, it was a hematoma and the vet called me and said they could drain it and put medicine in it and send her on her way. She said the procedure would take about an hour and then she would be ready to go home. Someone was supposed to call me when she was done. I waited 3 hours until I finally called them and asked if everything was ok and if my dog was ready to be picked up and she said "oh yes my dog was ready to be picked up that they were just waiting on me to get there." I informed her that I was never called and told that my dog was ready and she really didn't seem to care. I went and picked my dog up and she came out and it head wrap that she is supposed to keep on for 2 weeks. I was not given any instructions of any kind on how to take care of my dog's ear. I started asking questions and the receptionist acted like she was annoyed that she had to go back and ask the doctor. This morning I looked at my dog's ear and it still seems really full. It's making me wonder if they even drained anything out of her ear. I think I might go get a second opinion. I honestly don't think they did anything to her ear and they charged me almost $300. I'm pissed and I don't think I will be taking my dog here again, or any of my animals.
June 11 · Sarah DavisAbout two years ago I took my bearded dragon here. Currently looking for a vet to look at his mouth and judging by my past experience and others, I advise the person reading this to be very careful about considering this place as capable of looking at reptiles. They claim they can but this is quite deceptive because you will notice right away the lack of competence.
April 25 · ScalesI can't say enough about this furbaby clinic. We recently moved to Nebraska from Florida and my girl got really sick, I googled animal clinics and Capitol was right there on the top of the list. So for anyone looking for a great vet, this is the place. Prices are very reasonable as well. So from us newcomers thank you for taking such great care of my girl Freeway.
April 06 · Tammy DonovanI and my son and his wife always take our cats there. We have been going to Capital Animal for over 20 years and have always received excellent care and advice for our pets.
