★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- We were traveling across Nebraska when our beloved Corgi, Maddie, became very ill. It was a Sunday...there was no emergency vet for over 100 miles!!! We called Veterinary Emergency Services of Lincoln. They said come on in we will help you. We did not have to wait more than a few minutes. The care we got was astounding. They had a fleece blanket to put her on so she would be comfortable, The staff came right in and the vet was fantastic. She did a quality of life check and told us what we already knew that Maddie would not get better. The vet said that we could stay and be with her as long as we wanted to stay and just to let us know when we were ready to put her to sleep. After she had passed the vet gently wrapped her in the blanket and we took her home. That's not all!!!!A few days later we got a sympathy card signed by all the staff with personal notes about Maddie. Our family cannot imagine having any better care! You cannot go wrong coming here!!! May 15 · Maddie Corgi
- My Maltese mix who was 57 days pregnant went into labor at 1030pm on Friday night at 10:30pm. I knew she had 8 pups inside her. She delivered the first three within an hour and a half. No more puppies were born for almost four hours, and she appeared to be in a bit of distress and tired. I looked for open Vet hospitals in the Omaha area and was disappointed to find out there are none. The only place open was Veterinary Hospital in Lincoln which was an hour away. So at 4:00am I loaded mom and pups into the car and headed to the hospital. They were expecting us and took no time getting X-rays and informing me of my choices. I chose the emergency c-section. They also spayed her. In about an hour they had delivered 5 pups. The staff was wonderful and knowledgeable, keeping me informed each step of the way what was going on. They close at 7am and were discharging animals at the same time. Dr Dishman was wonderful and all her staff that night. The bill was half of what I expected!! She didn’t have to stay the 12 hours to recover. I took her home and she was almost like her old self the next day. If it hadn’t been for this place being open in the middle of the night I would’ve had to wait until 8am for a clinic to open which would’ve been bad for both mom and babies. I am for ever grateful to Dr . Dishman and staff who didn’t bat an eye as we didn’t get out of there until after 7am. Never felt like I was an inconvenience. Maggie and pups are all doing great, gaining weight each day. Would recommend this place hands down and was definitely worth an hours drive at 4:00am. June 22 · Cindy delacalzada
- Sadly we had to put our sweet girl, Mae, to sleep last week. We had to go to emergency services because she got so bad in the middle of the night. The staff was so very kind and the vet, Dr Elizabeth Dorwort, was EXCEPTIONAL. She explained how each step would work, she offered us more time to sit with our girl and she made sure we were ready before each vial was administered. We were so impressed and even further so when we received a card in the mail from the staff. Everyone signed it and wrote sweet messages to us and Mae.Thank you so much to the staff for making a very difficult night so calm and sweet. 🩷💜 January 27 · Aron Grosser
- I have called them before with just questions & they have always been so kind & helpful!Recently we actually went into the clinic and we could not have asked for a better experience. Mandy was phenomenal and so understanding. You can tell she really cares about what she does! The employee working the front counter was also very caring & attentive. Thank you both for all your help! July 30 · Nadia Khechfe
- There aren’t words to express how grateful we are for this wonderful clinic. Several years ago they performed emergency surgery on our big boy, Odin and saved his life when he had bloat. This last holiday weekend they again took care of our other Dane, Harlee, and helped us through another very stressful emergency. They managed our anxiety and fear with calm and thoughtful care. We left feeling much more at ease and confident in the work they had done. The tech and vet were thorough and listen to our concerns. Their treatment and explanations were top notch. We left feeling confident and comfortable that their care would get us through until we could get back to our regular vet. We couldn’t be more thankful! Options for emergency vet care in Lincoln are extremely limited and we are so lucky to have this facility. April 21 · Brenda Zitek
