- It’s been a few years since I’ve used this vet. And I would Never recommend him. Mean and rude is a good description. With a sick Maltese puppy in one arm and a splint on the other, he grabbed me by the shoulders, pushed me against the wall and shoved me out the door. I tried to make a police report but he said I lied and he was afraid of me!People beware!! February 26 · Patricia Brink

- If you are looking for an affordable vet. This is not the place for you. I took my dog here today for an X-ray and was told over the phone it would be $139+ a fee for the office visit. Ok wasn’t as much as other places. But then the plot twist... yes my dog is due for a rabies shot.. but she was sick and couldn’t have it when I took her in. Other than that she has all recommended vaccinations besides bordetella because I don’t board my dog. Because of this dr. Carlson wouldn’t even consider giving my pet an X-ray without hundreds in vaccinations and test. My dog had been having leg problems for a few weeks and had seen her regular vet they recommended an X-ray after a week of anti inflammatory meds. My normal vets X-ray was double the price so I figured I’d give them a shot. I will never be back and would never recommend coming to this place. The front desk staff was very nice and respectful. However Dr. Carlson was not, he was very rude and is in it for the money. If you need an affordable vet go to Independence Animal Hospital. I took my fur baby here after and they checked her out and got her some meds. I was out the door at $20. And even if I end up needing X-rays and sedation I will still be under 200. Far from the 360-515 that this place tried to charge me. After quoting 165 originally. February 18 · Melissa Raysik
