Chenango Animal Hospital Reviews
I adopted a dog from the shelter and came to see Dr. Gaylord. She has been exceptional with the care of my dog. She is very knowledgeable and caring. I will continue to bring my dog to see Dr. Gaylord!
Apr 28, 2025 · J IadanzaMy 13 year old cat has colitis and when it flares up there’s a Purina Vet food Dr. Welley prescribed for him. Now this rarely flares up and I just had to throw away what we had left as it expired but they won’t approve a renewed prescription because he hasn’t been in in over a year because I had open heart surgery, a triple bypass to be exact. It’s just me and my boy and I am not physically capable at this time to catch him and get him in for his yearly. They still refuse to approve the specialty food (not medication) even though I’ve scheduled an appointment later in the year and they don’t carry what he needs and can tolerate in office. Real nice! What do they expect me to do! Why are they bullying us over expensive food he hopefully won’t even need! Dr. Welley will be greatly missed, she had compassion that is severely lacking now!Reply is obtuse and ridiculous! There clearly is no empathy. I say in my review it’s just me. We’re talking about non-medicinal canned food for crying out loud! This is just ridiculous!
May 16, 2025 · Tammy ConklinMy pets have gone here for years and have had great experiences. Dr. Gaylord has done everything from their teeth cleanings to their vaccines. Great practice with great doctors! Highly recommend!
Apr 24, 2025 · Alexandra EderAfter being at the Chenango Animal Hospital I would recommend this vet to anyone, we dive from Pennsylvania about 45 minutes just to come to this vet. About 3 years ago my pup suffered from a lymes attack I called them and rushed him in for an urgent care appointment. I saw Dr, Gaylord she came in looked over my pup and run blood work. She came back in and told me that my pup kidneys were barely functioning and it was a very poor prognosis. BUT she told me that she would do anything I wanted whether that was putting him to rest or referring me to Cornell. After talking with her more she told me that most dogs in the condition he was in, do not make it, she then said if I wanted to fight for him she would help me with every medication she could give him. Ever since that moment I knew this was the vet my animals will be going too. The staff there are nothing but the best and treat our pets like they are their own. I would like to give a special thanks you Dr.Gaylord and the staff and Chenango Animal Hospital.
