Cherry Valley Animal Clinic Introduce
For pet owners across Ohio, ensuring the well-being of our beloved animal companions is a top priority. When seeking veterinary care, we rely on clinics to provide consistent, compassionate, and competent services. It is with this understanding that we must address the current status of Cherry Valley Animal Clinic, a name that may be familiar to residents in and around Newark, Ohio. While this establishment was once a point of care for many local pets, recent developments and client experiences paint a crucial picture that every pet owner in Ohio should be aware of. The information provided here is based on public customer reviews and observations, aiming to give a factual overview to help local users make informed decisions about their veterinary needs.
The landscape of local businesses can change, and veterinary clinics are no exception. For established clients and those new to the area seeking care, understanding the current operational status of a facility is paramount. The information available suggests a significant change regarding Cherry Valley Animal Clinic. Pet owners often form long-term relationships with their veterinary providers, relying on them for routine care, unexpected emergencies, and the continuity of their pet's health records. When these relationships are unexpectedly disrupted, it can cause considerable concern and inconvenience for families across Ohio. Our goal here is to present the most current understanding based on readily available client feedback and observations.
The physical location of Cherry Valley Animal Clinic is noted as 29 S 29th St, Newark, OH 43055, USA. For a local business, accessibility is key, and this address places it within a recognizable part of Newark, Ohio. However, recent information from a long-term customer indicates significant changes at this address. According to a review from March 2020, attempts to contact the clinic by phone were unsuccessful, with the phone line appearing disabled. Furthermore, a visit to the physical location revealed that the office was "totally empty" with a "for rent sign" displayed and "no sign on the door saying they moved, nothing." This suggests a permanent cessation of operations at this specific address.
For pet owners in Newark and the surrounding areas of Ohio, this means that the facility at 29 S 29th St is no longer an active veterinary clinic. While the address itself is centrally located within Newark, its current status as an empty, for-rent property indicates that it is not accessible for veterinary services. This is crucial information for anyone in Ohio looking for a local vet, as relying on outdated information could lead to wasted time and effort, particularly in urgent situations for their pets.
Given the strong indications that Cherry Valley Animal Clinic is no longer operational, it is challenging to list currently offered services based on recent public data. The most recent client feedback suggests a complete closure of the facility.
Previously, as a veterinary clinic, it would have offered a range of services typical of a general practice, likely including routine check-ups, vaccinations, minor surgeries, and possibly some emergency care based on its historical operation.
However, the critical information for pet owners in Ohio now is that these services are no longer available at this location. Customers have reported disabled phone lines and an empty office space.
One past review from 2015-2017 highlights a very negative experience related to thyroid test results, fluid overdose during an emergency visit, and subsequent difficulty in transferring records. This historical account, while severe, pertains to a period when the clinic was actively operating.
It is important for pet owners in Ohio to understand that the services previously rendered by Cherry Valley Animal Clinic are, as per recent accounts, no longer being provided from the listed address. Any current veterinary needs will require seeking services from other active and operational clinics within the Ohio region.
In light of the information provided by recent customer experiences, the "features" and "highlights" of Cherry Valley Animal Clinic are unfortunately centered around its apparent closure and past client issues rather than current positive operational aspects.
Apparent Permanent Closure: The most prominent feature, as of March 2020, is the indication of a permanent closure. Customers who have been loyal for over a decade received no notification, finding the phone disabled and the office empty with a "for rent" sign. This lack of communication about closure is a significant point of concern for previous clients.
Concerns Regarding Past Patient Care: A review from a client between 2015-2017 details extremely serious allegations, including the alleged misplacement/loss of thyroid test results, an overdose of fluids during an emergency visit leading to a pet's death, and subsequent difficulties in obtaining pet records for transfer to a new clinic. While these are past incidents, they represent very severe negative feedback from a client's experience.
Lack of Transition or Communication: For a business that had clients for over 10 years, the absence of any notification about closure or relocation is a notable negative feature. This leaves long-term clients in the lurch regarding their pet's ongoing care and access to historical medical records.
Uncertainty of Former Staff/Doctor Status: The review expresses concern for "Dr. Burgin," indicating a personal connection with the veterinarian and uncertainty regarding their well-being, which further underscores the abrupt nature of the clinic's apparent cessation of operations.
These points serve as crucial information for any Ohio resident who might have considered or previously utilized Cherry Valley Animal Clinic, highlighting the importance of verifying the current operational status of any veterinary provider.
Based on the provided information, the contact details for Cherry Valley Animal Clinic are as follows:
Address: 29 S 29th St, Newark, OH 43055, USA
Phone: (740) 522-6056
Mobile Phone: +1 740-522-6056
However, it is extremely important for pet owners in Ohio to understand that, according to recent customer experiences (as of March 2020), these contact methods may no longer be functional. The phone line was reported as disabled, and the physical location was observed to be empty and up for rent. Therefore, while these were the clinic's contact details, they do not appear to be active avenues for reaching the clinic for services or inquiries at this time. Ohio residents needing veterinary care should seek out actively operating clinics.
Based on all available information, Cherry Valley Animal Clinic, as a currently operational veterinary care provider, is unfortunately not suitable for locals in Ohio. The overwhelming evidence from recent customer reviews strongly indicates that the clinic is permanently closed. Long-standing clients have reported disabled phone lines, an empty office with a "for rent" sign, and a complete lack of notification regarding its closure. This situation creates significant difficulty for pet owners, especially those who relied on the clinic for years and now face the challenge of finding new veterinary care and potentially accessing past medical records.
Furthermore, historical client feedback from 2015-2017 raises serious concerns about past service quality, involving alleged medical errors and issues with record management. While these incidents are from a previous operational period, they contribute to a challenging overall picture. Therefore, for any Ohio resident seeking active, reliable, and accessible veterinary care for their beloved pets, it is strongly advised to look for alternative, currently operational clinics within the region. The primary takeaway for locals is that Cherry Valley Animal Clinic at 29 S 29th St, Newark, OH 43055, USA, appears to no longer be a viable option for veterinary services.

Cherry Valley Animal Clinic Reviews
It appears that this clinic is permanetely closed. We called last Friday, March 13 to make an appointment for our dog who is a regular patient and their phone was disabled. We drove to their location 29 S 29th St. in Newark and their office is up for rent and is totally empty. No sign on the door saying they moved, nothing. Just a for rent sign. We've been with them for over 10 years but received no notification that they were closing. Hope nothing tragic happened to Dr. Burgin.
Mar 16, 2020 · Rab BrockThey killled our cat, who was only 9. After they misplaced/lost thyroid test results, this vet overdosed him on fluids during an ensuing emergency visit and sent him home with us instead of to a pet hospital. He died horribly/painfully. We switched vets, and they could not even manage to find/send records to our new clinic after several requests. This is a poor excuse for a veterinary operation. If you love your pet, please go elsewhere. (Client from 2015-2017)
Feb 09, 2018 · Mark MerzDr. Burgin and her staff are amazing! She has been our Vet for 20 years and 5 animals. The love an compassion she and her staff show is amazing!Your not a number your a person and your pet is their pet.
May 30, 2017 · Jennifer RoweNot knowing this clinic moved locations, the old address is still the same online and I ended up driving to the old location. When I call to find out the new location, they said they knew the old address had not been changed and that it automatically changes when you put it in the gps. Ummm, no, that’s not how a gps works. The receptionist is EXTREMELY rude and I personally would never go to a place where they’re so arrogant that when they’re wrong they can’t admit it and be rude on top of it.
Jan 22, 2020 · J. W.This clinic is probably closed permanently. We tried to call and ask for our cats records but the line didn't work, the office space is being used by a different company. We had no notification that they were closed which is not very professional. If you are looking for this clinic don't bother.
