Cheyenne West Animal Hospital Reviews
Today was a sad day in my life with Bella, but the ladies at Cheyenne West Animal Hospital got me through it. They were very compassionate and caring. I felt that they truly felt my pain.
Feb 25, 2025 · Dren /DrewTook us in on a short notice. This is our practice for our pet but not our repeated Vet. We saw Dr. McCollum and she was impressive. We came in as an ER for our dog Willow who was yelping in intense pain. We had no idea what was wrong but rushed her to the clinic and everyone was very attentive to her needs. Dr. McCollum examined Willow and knew it was her neck. She didn't try to Nickle and dime us either. She knew what was wrong and believed in it. She treated Willow with pain management and gave us further instructions of 48 hours to be attentive to her. She was thoroughly and never once felt in a hurry to leave the room. She was with compassion but also direct and straightforward. We appreciated the confidence and would highly recommend. The front staff was very professional and friendly, the assistance and entire vet crew. Thank you kindly for your genuine care. Willow was back to herself within 24 hours.
Jan 14, 2025 · Melissa SantaellaThank you Kai and Cheyenne West animal hospital for helping me get my rabies shot.I was nervous about going to the vet and you made me feel comfortable. I would highly recommend them for your petsSassy
Mar 13, 2025 · Matty HayesThe care at this facility had gone downhill and now its all about the money. I came here for my dogs red and itchy eyes due to allergies. I came here for the exact same thing in the fall of 2023 and it only cost me $108 dollars. I had a good experience that time with the female vet so I returned. Unfortunately this time i did not receive the same type of care. This time it somehow cost me $307 dollars for the same thing? I'd like to add the required rabies vaccine was given this time, but still it shouldn't have been much more. The vet also didn't ask me if I wanted the vaccine and gave it to my dog without asking me.Allergy meds and shots kept being pushed for my dog when I already informed the vet my dog has had bad reactions to 2 previous shots already. The allergy shots caused a bad reaction as well as didnt work and offered my dog no relief. He then recommended a allergy pill which is the exact same thing in pill form. I've read through the information of the pill he gave me and it can also increase the risk of opportunistic infections and potentially exacerbate existing ones. Dogs receiving Zenrelia may be at risk of vaccine-induced disease and inadequate immune response to vaccines.Guess what my dog is already sensitive to vaccines his previous allergy shots is probably why. Why would I again take this risk and compromise my dogs immune system any further with the pill and make things worse. Why would this even be recommended when it's already an issue. Overall I felt like he kept trying to push more things to make my bill higher. There was no respect for anything that I said as the pet parent at all.To top it off, I asked specifically for eye dropsnumerous times which he has been given before btw. Yet he was given the exact same thing but in ointment form. Not what I asked for at all. Super unhappy with my visit. We won't be back.
Mar 05, 2025 · DayraWe had been taking our dogs here for a few years. We loved the empathy and compassion the doctors displayed, never pushing us to proceed with unnecessary treatments. We adopted a cat and brought him in because he seemed to be sick. We got a new doctor for this visit. The doctor prescribed medication and told us our 9 month old cat had a genetic disorder which would require all of his teeth to be removed. I took my cat to a different vet who stated his teeth and mouth were fine. The new vet also told us the old vet over prescribed the medication. I’ll never return to this animal care facility. The doctor was a fraud and tried to scam us, as most vets do.
