For pet owners across Las Vegas, Nevada, considering Northwest Pet Hospital for their veterinary care needs, it is important to weigh the varied experiences reported by local clients to determine its suitability. The clinic's accessibility and its ability to provide general veterinary services position it as an option within the local landscape of animal care providers.
On one hand, some local pet owners have found Northwest Pet Hospital to be a "fantastic vet" and an "incredible experience." These clients highlight the staff's strong communication skills, their willingness to listen, excellent follow-up, and their compassionate support during difficult decisions. The ability of the clinic to "squeeze in" pets during urgent situations is also a notable convenience for busy Las Vegas residents, indicating a degree of flexibility in accommodating immediate needs. For these individuals, the clinic has successfully created a comfortable environment where their dogs are not nervous, and they feel grateful for the support received in caring for their pups, driving 20 minutes to get there because they believe it's "super worth it."
However, it is crucial for prospective local clients to be aware of the extremely serious concerns raised in other public reviews. One particular testimonial describes a deeply traumatic experience, alleging a severe lack of communication during a critical pet emergency, unauthorized procedures, and even physical injury to a pet under their care, leading to a tragic outcome. This starkly contrasting account raises significant questions about communication protocols, transparency, and emergency handling procedures that every pet owner should consider. The allegations of not being called when a pet was in distress and proceeding without explicit authorization are profound concerns that cannot be overlooked when evaluating a veterinary service.
Ultimately, for locals in Las Vegas, Northwest Pet Hospital presents a dual picture. While some clients have clearly experienced high levels of compassionate and effective care, others have reported deeply disturbing issues regarding communication and patient safety. Therefore, suitability for this clinic will heavily depend on individual priorities and a willingness to thoroughly investigate and directly discuss any potential concerns with the clinic's staff before entrusting them with a beloved pet. For those seeking basic veterinary services, its location offers convenience, but the conflicting accounts necessitate careful consideration and direct inquiry into their operational practices for all pet owners in the Nevada area.

Northwest Pet Hospital Reviews
Fantastic vet, I was recommended by a local who previously worked there and it's been an incredible experience after going to another vet. I drive 20 minutes to get there and it's super worth it. The staff listens and asks great questions, very commincative and great at follow up. They have squeeze me in a pinch and supported me through really tough decisions. My dogs are not nervous there like they are at other vets. All in all I could not say more good things. We're happy we made the switch and grateful for their support in caring for our pups.
Apr 03, 2025 · Allie WebsterAttention to all pet owners: DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE. !!! I am begging you. I have written a review before and it's time for a new one. DO NOT GO HERE. Save yourself and your baby, these people could care less. They will have you sign a form to ensure if there are any emergencies that they will proceed with suggested measures to properly treat your baby if YOU don't answer the phone during your pets visit... NOBODY CALLED ME TO LET ME KNOW MY PET WAS PASSING AWAY AND THAT HIS LITTLE BODY COULDN'T HANDLE WHAT THE VET WAS DOING TO HIM. Nobody called me still to this day I am waiting on a phone call with an explanation for what happened. This is COMPLETELY unacceptable and I am begging you do not bring your baby here. They will proceed with whatever they think is best without your authorization. They won't tell you what they're doing to your baby and they won't even call you either to let you know IF your pet is having serious complications. I have to live the rest of my life knowing that North West Pet Hospital killed my baby who was only supposed to be there for X-rays. They took the decision to try to assist without my permission. When I arrived to see my baby after he was already passed away I examined him and found that they broke his perfect front tooth that was in perfect condition. When I mentioned the broken tooth to the associate she had nothing to say to me besides there was nothing she can do because my pet already passed away. DO NOT EVER BRING YOUR PET HERE. ITS A DANGEROUS PLACE FOR YOUR BABY.SAVE YOUR MONEY AND A TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCEREST IN PEACE MARVIN JONES 05/2015-11/2023YOU DIDN'T DESERVE FOR THEM TO HURT YOUYOU WERE MY FIRST LOVE AND WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY HEARTMY HEART WILL FOREVER BE BROKEN WITHOUT YOUI LOVE YOU SO MUCH MARVIN JONESDO NOT BRING YOUR PET HEREDO NOT BRING YOUR PET HEREDO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE
Apr 27, 2025 · j sforzaShould have went w my gut feeling after reading the reviews. Hate to give bad feedback, but they really do over price here and try and upsell medicine and procedures. Went in to get a second opinion on the ear infection my pup might have had. Was told she was good, she seemed fine, after a day or two since the visit she's been very sick. I waited almost 2hrs after my appointment, because they were busy with at least 5 procedures, and a candle lit due to the death of someone's pet.If you see this, turn around your pet will thank you.
Jun 06, 2025 · V PradoOur dog was bitten by some sort of insect on her neck. The bite unfortunately abcesed and she had cellulitis. North West animal hospital was able to get us in within 30 min of me calling. When we arrived we did not have to wait to be taken to a room and their vet tech Nautica came and spoke with us. In less the 10 min of Nautica taking Sugar to see Dr. Nauta, they had a game plan and everything. They were straight forward with us on everything and we were able to get Sugar taken care of that day. I am so every appreciative of north west animal hospital, Dr. Nauta, Nautica, and their front desk team. I cannot thank them enough. And they will now be our primary vet. We will see you all soonThank you,Sugar, and her pet parents
Jun 25, 2025 · Krystal CarrollI highly do not recommend this clinic due to their pricing. Even with my pet insurance they quoted me $1,000 more than another clinic without my pet insurance for the same surgery. I believe pet care should be affordable so if your family can't afford high costs during these tough times please do not waste the $65 exam fee to be quoted their extremely high costs. I'm a reasonable in understanding cost of surgeries but $2300 for a benign cyst removal is crazy, especially when another clinic quoted me only $1300
