A hallmark of the clinic is its clear communication—Dr. Worland is appreciated as a **straight forward Vet that won't sugar coat issues**—a quality highly valued by those seeking honest answers about their pet's well-being. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- I’ve been bringing my dog to City Animal Hospital since 2020, and I genuinely love this vet. Dr. Worland and her team provide exceptional, compassionate care that I fully trust. They handled everything during the pandemic with care and efficiency, and they continue to operate with a thoughtful system—when you arrive, you call in and wait comfortably in your car until they’re ready for you. It’s low-stress and well-organized.The clinic itself is clean, tidy, and located in a neat mid-century building that adds to its welcoming feel. There are no appointments—just first come, first served—which has always worked smoothly for me. It’s not a frilly place, but it doesn’t need to be. What matters most is the high quality of care, and they absolutely deliver. I’m so grateful to have found a vet I can rely on year after year. My dog also loves the entire team and she’s always excited when it’s time for a visit. May 17 · Thomas Tran
- I have been bringing my pets to Dr. Worland at City Animal Hospital since the early 2000's. She and her staff have never been anything other than compassionate. She is a straight forward Vet that won't sugar coat issues. That is something I appreciate. I have schnauzers and have had bladderstone issues that need surgeries, had all of them spayed and neutered here. She cared for my little one with heart issues and we got 5 more years with her after intially thinking she might get 1 more. Her prices are lower than any big corporate clinic and she cares. She's not doing this to gouge people to get rich. If you want a vet that gives you straight answers about your pets heal this is the place. If you animal doesn't feel good or even if it does. It will get hugs pets and caring. If your coming in so you can get hugs and pets...sorry, she's here for the animals. Don't get butthurt. July 19 · Kimi Lewis
- I’m not the type of person to ever leave a review, especially a negative one, but I feel that this is a very important one. My girlfriend had a cat that had recently started deteriorating extremely fast and we knew we had to get her in to the vet as soon as possible. City Animal Hospital was the closest one, and the reviews were amazing. I don’t want to discredit all of the staff, as well as all of the other reviews, I’m sure this is an outstanding animal hospital for routine checkups and vaccinations. But what I can confidently say that the City Animal Hospital is not great at, is dealing with a pet in their last days. We brought her cat in for a diagnosis and the staff lacked any empathy or compassion. This is a family pet who has recently started showing signs of illness and a family who is visibly distressed, and after waiting in the lobby for about 20 minutes (not an issue), we waited in the operating room for another 20 minutes (not an issue), just for the Doctor to walk in and greet us with, “Oh this looks bad”, after seeing our cat lying on the table. I can appreciate a straight forward no BS type of Doctor visit, but I don’t feel that this was the appropriate time for that and I didn’t appreciate it at all. We left after finding out that our sweet girl had cancer, hyperthyroidism, and heart disease, and that she couldn’t make it for much longer. We would’ve waited for her to be put down, but the next day she was even worse, she couldn’t walk on her own, couldn’t use the litter box, wouldn’t eat, wouldn’t drink, and we were forced to make one of the hardest choices you’ll ever have to make as a pet owner and lay a member of your family to rest. The City Animal Hospital is the only walk-in clinic near us that handles euthanasia, so we felt like it was our only option. So we bring her back in, are in the lobby for about 20 minutes again, then to the operating room for what felt like an hour. This time though, for the first 20 minutes at least, we appreciated a longer wait time, just to give us some more time with our sweet girl before we have to let her go. Eventually, the same Doctor as before comes in to greet us. This time, she showed a bit more love, petting her and and saying “I’m sorry sweetie”, that that is where the empathy stopped. Immediately after, she went to poking around with a needle. Never asked if we needed to say goodbye, if we were ready, nothing, just went straight in. After probably 5 or 6 pricks and a yelp from the patient later, she tells us that she can’t find a vein and that we’d have to use an IV. Which I understand, like I said, she hadn’t been drinking water so I’m sure it was hard to find a vein, but maybe try that before you hurt her. So they take her into the back, they bring her back with an IV, and once again, immediately the Doctor begins the injection, no warning, nothing. Our sweet girl takes her final breath. The Doctor then lets us know that she’s gone with a, “that’s it”, and walks out. Please do not bring your pet here in their final days. June 27 · Bridger
- Always helpful and takes me as a walk in for my babies big and small. (Mastiff and weenie) for any emergency and helpful with price. Just absolutely love it here May 05 · Stacy Geswender
- I used this clinic when the time came to put my little yorkie down. The staff were very kind, I was able to hold her as she passed and it was very quick and painless for her. I would recommend City Animal Hospital to anyone going through this difficult time. May 26 · Vicki Martin
