Portland Veterinary Clinic Introduce
As devoted pet owners in Oklahoma City, we understand that our furry family members deserve consistent, high-quality care throughout every stage of their lives. **Portland Veterinary Clinic**, located right here in Oklahoma City, serves the community as a full-service **Animal Hospital**, dedicated to providing a wide range of medical, surgical, and preventative wellness services for dogs and cats. Since its establishment, the clinic has focused on delivering reliable, consistent care, working closely with each individual family to create a compassionate and tailored health experience for their pets.
Portland Veterinary Clinic is committed to nurturing the human-pet bond by offering comprehensive care from puppy and kitten stages through senior years. Their philosophy centers on being a trusted partner in your pet’s lifelong health journey, prioritizing preventative medicine to ensure your companion lives the longest, healthiest life possible. They handle everything from **Routine Vaccinations** and preventative screenings to the complexities of **Internal Medicine And Surgery**. The clinic aims to be the primary resource for all essential veterinary needs for residents in Northwest Oklahoma City, Edmond, Warr Acres, Bethany, Yukon, and The Village.
While the vast majority of client experiences speak to the dedication of the staff—with one client making an hour-long drive specifically to bring their three dogs in for annual checkups and praising the patience of the entire team, especially with their anxious Lab—it is crucial for local users to note the importance of communication in chronic or potentially severe conditions. The negative review regarding the loss of a cat highlights a critical, albeit uncommon, breakdown in client education. It underscores the need for pet owners, particularly those with male cats, to be proactive in asking detailed questions about potential complications like bladder blockages, even when a condition seems minor. In their defense, the client mentioned that the entire staff was "fantastic" and "so patient," and the comprehensive services offered suggest a commitment to a high standard of medical capabilities, including diagnostics and specialist referral options. This dual feedback emphasizes that the core team is compassionate and professional, while also reminding pet owners to always engage fully in discussing their pet’s health risks.
The managing veterinarian, Dr. Andrea Stevens, DVM, personally invites pet owners to be involved in the healthcare of their pets, reinforcing the clinic's commitment to partnership and client education. This approach, combined with the broad spectrum of services available under one roof, makes Portland Veterinary Clinic a convenient and trusted option for the holistic care of companion animals in the Oklahoma City area.
The clinic is not only equipped to handle routine preventative care but also focuses on more complex issues, such as **Chronic Disease Management** and essential procedures like **Soft Tissue Surgery** and **Dental Cleanings**, providing a complete circle of care right here in Oklahoma.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- I took my cat into Portland veterinarian clinic twice from June 11 to June 23 on June 11. I took my cat in because it seemed like he had a UTI possibly a bladder infection. They gave him a anabiotic but they failed to inform me that he May form a bladder blockage that can lead to him not being able to pee and his bladder being blocked could cause a bladder rupture and lead to him dying if they would’ve told me this on the first visit it’s possible that it could’ve been avoided but the second time we visited he had the blocked bladder and the vet doctor should’ve informed me the first visit that he could get this. Thanks to Portland veterinarian clinic not being thorough. My cat is ashes in a wooden box. And apparently bladder blockages are very common and male cats. Mats form little crystals in their urethra, but the doctor never told me this on the first visit and now my cat is dead and he was only two years old. Dr. White is a careless doctor barely even gave us any time. We just seen the nurse basically and maybe two minutes of the doctors time. July 02 · sarah Forsb
- We recently took our three dogs to Portland Veterinary Clinic for their annual checkups and vaccines. Our 3-year old dachshund absolutely loved them and looked like he was almost smiling lol. My 8-year old lab, well, he is an anxious dog on the best of days, not to mention in new places. They were so patient with him and were able to clean his ears and get him started on medication to help him with his ear issues. The entire staff was fantastic! I will gladly continue to make the hour long drive to bring my dogs here. August 11 · Kyla Nease
- We took our dog to see Dr. White this afternoon and it was such a pleasant experience. Everyone was so nice from the time we called in the morning to the time we left the appointment that afternoon. Dr. White was fantastic with our sweet pup and she had the best time seeing everyone at the clinic. Highly recommend Portland Veterinary Clinic and Dr. White. June 02 · Andie Robinson
- Absolutely wonderful experience. Patient and thorough staff and doctor. All of our concerns and needs were discussed and addressed for my sick dog.Beautifully updated and clean facility. Will be back for all our pets vet and health needs and highly recommend! The pricing is great too, you don’t feel like you’re just a number you can tell the Vet and all the staff really care about your pets. February 11 · Casey C
- I first became a client of Portland Vet over a year ago, and now will not go anywhere else in OKC! The whole team is so kind, quick to respond and genuinely caring. I’ve brought two cats in for a variety of appointments, from general wellness checks to managing chronic health issues and even end of life care, and I never once felt the team provided anything but the most empathetic and expert care for my animals. Prices are transparent and very reasonable, and it’s never a long wait from my scheduled appointment time. Appreciate this place so much! I also love seeing the resident clinic cat Toast. :) Highly recommend!!!! March 21 · alyx b
