Clifton Ave Animal Hospital Introduce
For pet owners across New Jersey, ensuring the well-being of our animal companions is a top priority. A critical component of comprehensive pet care often involves medication, whether for ongoing health conditions, post-operative recovery, or preventive treatments. While the term "pharmacy" typically brings to mind human prescriptions, the world of veterinary medicine also relies heavily on dedicated pharmaceutical services. This article aims to shed light on how local establishments like Clifton Ave Animal Hospital play a dual role, not only providing expert veterinary care but also offering on-site pharmacy services essential for the health of our beloved pets right here in New Jersey.

The importance of an in-house veterinary pharmacy cannot be overstated for New Jersey pet parents. It eliminates the need for separate trips to a human pharmacy that might not carry animal-specific medications or have the specialized knowledge required for pet prescriptions. Moreover, having direct access to the prescribing veterinarian's expertise ensures that any questions about dosage, potential side effects, or administration can be answered on the spot, providing peace of mind and promoting better adherence to treatment plans. This level of integrated care underscores the hospital's commitment to holistic pet health and convenience for the local community.

Apr 24, 2025 · Antonio BautistaJust had Prince, my chow chow, in for his yearly checkup and as always, it was a great experience. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, ( Monika is the best) and they always treat Prince like royalty (which he totally expects). The vet was gentle, patient, and took the time to answer all my questions. The clinic is clean and well-organized, and appointments always run on time. We’ve been coming here for 8 years and it’s never a disappointment. Highly recommend!l
Apr 13, 2025 · Catalina CrissienPleased with the service. From the reception to the vet assistants who was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The Vet herself addressed all my concerns with my senior dog. The after visit check up is highly appreciated. My dog had his vaccination and they called to check how he's doing. Finally found our go-to vet. Prices were reasonable too.
May 21, 2025 · C MoralesA few years ago when I first brought my dogs here, the service was excellent. The vets at that time were very helpful and respectful toward me and my family. After my dogs passed away in 2022, I decided to wait before getting another pet.A few months ago, I brought my 1-year-old rescue, Petunia, in for her first checkup after her adoption. Unfortunately, the experience was very different. I waited over an hour and 15 minutes just to be seen. I had submitted all her vaccination records, spay information, and previous health paperwork, but the staff kept insisting she wasn’t vaccinated. When I showed proof that she was fully vaccinated, I believed the issue was resolved.Fast forward a few weeks — we were in the process of adopting a second dog. We gave permission for the vet to release Petunia’s medical records to the rescue organization. Everything seemed perfect until suddenly, our application was rejected because the vet’s office had again reported that Petunia was not vaccinated. I called to clarify, and despite my previous efforts, they admitted they had misread her records again. Mistakes happen, but this was disappointing. Most recently, I brought Petunia in for stomach issues. This time, the wait was about 30 minutes, but we were seen quickly once called. I don’t remember the vet’s name, but she was very kind and made me feel like Petunia was genuinely cared for. However, when I asked for Petunia’s visit notes, I was told they would be sent later that day. It’s now Sunday, and I still haven’t received them.Overall, while the care is affordable and the vets themselves seem capable, the communication and administrative side of this office really needs improvement.
