Community Animal Clinic, like most general veterinary practices, offers a foundational set of services aimed at maintaining the health and well-being of common household pets, primarily dogs and cats. While specific, detailed service lists are always best confirmed directly with the clinic, based on the nature of a local animal clinic, you can generally expect them to provide:
- Wellness Examinations and Vaccinations: Routine check-ups are essential for preventative care, allowing veterinarians to assess overall health and administer necessary vaccinations to protect pets from common infectious diseases.
- Basic Diagnostic Services: This typically includes in-house laboratory tests such as blood work (e.g., complete blood count, chemistry panels) and urinalysis, as well as microscopic examinations for common issues.
- Surgical Procedures: Common surgical services like spaying, neutering, and potentially some minor soft tissue surgeries are usually offered.
- Dental Care: Basic dental services such as cleanings and extractions for maintaining oral hygiene and preventing dental disease.
- Parasite Control: Recommendations and treatments for the prevention and control of common internal and external parasites like fleas, ticks, and worms.
- Pharmacy Services: Dispensing common prescription medications and preventatives needed for pet health.
- Nutritional Counseling: Basic advice on appropriate pet diets for different life stages and general health maintenance.
It is important to note that while clinics like Community Animal Clinic provide essential care, highly specialized or advanced procedures might be referred to larger veterinary hospitals with specialized equipment or expertise.
Based on the provided customer reviews, here are some features and highlights, as well as areas where the clinic might present challenges for some pet owners:
- Convenient Local Option: A key highlight is its proximity for local residents. As one reviewer stated, they "wanted to try this office again due to it being closer to my house and my dog getting anxious on car rides and during vet visits. I wanted to minimize the amount of time he had to be stressed out." This proximity is a significant advantage for many.
- Kind Office Staff: The office staff are described as "kind" and "apologetic" when issues arise, indicating a basic level of politeness and willingness to address problems.
However, the reviews also point to several significant concerns that potential clients should be aware of:
- Significant Wait Times and Organizational Issues: A major concern highlighted is the "ridiculous" wait times, with one pet owner waiting "over an hour in the waiting area" despite having an appointment. The feeling of being "forgotten" and issues with "chart wasn’t pulled like everyone else’s" point to potential organizational challenges that can lead to a frustrating experience, particularly for anxious pets. This issue also seems to be a recurring problem, as the reviewer mentioned it "had happened the last time I took him to this office."
- Perceived Lack of Thoroughness/Knowledge from Medical Staff: One review critically states, "The doctors may need to freshen up a little bit. You get what you pay for here, folks. Cheaper will cost you in the long run." This reviewer felt that post-procedure follow-up questions were not adequately answered, suggesting a potential lack of in-depth client education or a rushed approach to appointments, where "they just do their jobs over there."
- Mixed Experience with Professionalism: While the office staff are kind, the overall "disappointment in the over all service at this facility" suggests that the clinical experience may not consistently meet expectations regarding efficiency and comprehensive communication from the medical team.
- Value vs. Cost Perception: The comment "Cheaper will cost you in the long run" implies that while the initial price might seem appealing, the perceived quality of service or lack of thoroughness might lead to more issues or dissatisfaction over time, making it less economical in the long run.

The clinic provides a standard range of essential veterinary services that can cater to routine health needs. Community Animal Clinic Reviews
Not normally one to leave a negative reviews but I took my dog in yesterday to be seen after taking a break from this office. My appointment was at 4:15, I arrived at 4, we were not even taken back into a room to be seen until 5:20. My dogs chart wasn’t pulled like everyone else’s was to be seen, I feel like they forgot us, even though numerous staff saw me trying to calm my anxious dog for over an hour in the waiting area. The staff was apologetic once they realized what had happened, I still feel like this was pretty ridiculous. Something like this had happened the last time I took him to this office, which is why I was going to a different vet further away. I wanted to try this office again due to it being closer to my house and my dog getting Anxious on car rides and during vet visits. I wanted to minimize the amount of time he had to be stressed out. Although the office staff are kind, I am very disappointed in the over all service at this facility.
Apr 25, 2025 · angela maciasThe doctors may need to freshen up a little bit. You get what you pay for here, folks. Cheaper will cost you in the long run. I had my dogs teeth cleaned here and after I was asking questions for follow up care when we get home and it honestly would have been better to ask Google. How do you perform services on animals and have no knowledge for your customers. There’s doing your job and then there’s doing your job well. And they just do their jobs over there.
Apr 10, 2025 · hones teaIf I could give zero stars I would. It’s really unfortunate how the receptionist treats people who have to make the decision to put down their dog. My sister had to unfortunately put down her almost 10 year old pup who was riddled with cancer and not doing well. The receptionist was so disrespectful and unprofessional towards her during the scheduling and procedure. Losing a pet isn’t easy and losing a pet while dealing with a rude receptionist is even worse! My dog WAS a patient at the practice but will not be returning.Grace, empathy, and customer service is the LEAST a veterinary clinic can offer when someone is losing their pet.
Jun 05, 2025 · Jennifer RoodWould give 0 if I could. BY THE WAY THE VET WOULD LEAVE THE ROOM TO GOOGLE EVERY TIME WE WERE THERE. Took my sister and brother in laws dog here expecting honesty and decent respect and got the complete opposite. The poor dog lost 20 lbs they blamed it on lymes and kept throwing pills at us for a whole month. Did lab work said it was normal come to find out his platelets and blood count were insanely low and is a huge concern and the new vet caught it immediately and knew it wasn’t lymes. We had to put the dog down today and all the suffering could have been avoided from the get if they were honest.
May 02, 2025 · Hanna BartonDoctor is great! Very educated, patient, and explains everything very well. The receptionists on the other hand are not very kind or helpful. Responses from them were short and snappy.
