Customer reviews provide valuable insight into the experience at Crestwood Village Veterinary Clinic, highlighting both strengths and areas where improvements might be sought.
- Exceptional Veterinary Care (Dr. Richie): Dr. Richie is consistently praised as "extremely kind and welcoming," "very kind, knowledgeable and gentle with pets." Clients feel that he "takes his time to explain any issues and his reason for treatment," which is highly valued. One reviewer noted that "the doctor was amazing when he helped me" during a difficult emergency situation. This highlights a strong positive experience with the medical professional.
- Thorough Examinations: Clients appreciate that appointments feel "very thorough," indicating that veterinarians take the necessary time to assess a pet's health comprehensively.
- Gentle and Knowledgeable Pet Handling: Dr. Richie's gentleness with pets helps them remain calm and comfortable during visits, which is a significant relief for pet owners whose animals may be anxious.
- Compassionate Support in Difficult Times: While a challenging experience, one reviewer noted that the clinic did admit their pet for an emergency where compassion was clearly needed, demonstrating their readiness to help even in critical moments. The care provided by the doctor during the difficult process of euthanasia was appreciated.
It is important to acknowledge that reviews sometimes present a mixed picture. While the medical care, particularly from Dr. Richie, receives high praise, one review also highlighted a negative interaction with a specific front desk staff member, describing them as "miserable" and lacking compassion. This suggests that while the veterinary expertise is strong, consistency in front-line client interaction could be an area of focus.

Crestwood Village Veterinary Clinic Reviews
I went here for an emergency, thank God they got me in , my baby was on his last breath and had to be put down. I called numerous times to see if ashes came back yet, but nobody ever answers the phone. I took a ride to find out if his ashes were back and if I could make an appointment for my new puppy, but the Woman at the desk told me they're not taking any new dogs. I'm fine with that. I need to find a vet that's local to me, but I must say the woman at the desk with the tattoos in the glasses. Seems like she is a very miserable person and should not be working in a veterinary clinic where people need to have compassion and a smile She has no smile and seems like she is just not a happy person. But the doctor was amazing when he helped me. So I give it three stars for the doctor -2 for a miserable person at the desk.

Jan 26, 2024 · Gabriella5570Dr. Richie and the Crestwood Village staff are incredible. We have been coming to them for five years with our two dogs and our cat until her natural passing. They had a great relationship with all of our animals and Dr. Richie always took his time with them. If we weren’t moving away, we would have continued to use them as our vet for current and future pets.
Mar 26, 2024 · Scout BeyerFinally after 15 years in the area I found a Veterinarian that gives personal service is not part of a big money grabbing corporation. Crestwood Veterinariary Clinic. Doctor James J. Riche gave my pet personal hands on attention. He was thorough, caring and spent an amazing amount with my 12 yr old Shih Tzu Chippy. The experience was everything I hoped for and I couldn't be happier.
