Over two years ago my lil' Capone (Chihuahua) was diagnosed with Malignant Melanoma after an abscess was found in his mouth. We were referred to AVC in Salt Lake and the staff was incredibly supportive, informative, patient and kind. Our oncologist was Dr. Kathleen Tsimbas and her wonderful assistant, Vet Tech, Ashley. I COULD NOT have asked for a better team to help lil' Capone and my family navigate the very difficult treatments and decisions that come along with terminal cancer. They explored with me, multiple treatment options, accepted numerous appointments, cried with me and offered unlimited support the entire year we spent fighting and hoping and eventually accepting the inevitable. They worked closely with the vets and oncologists at the CSU Flint Animal Cancer Center in Fort Collins, making sure, Capone only got the best treatment possible. Dr. Spanos, Molly Gasparini, and the entire CSU Oncology team were wonderful. They explained all the tests and procedures, answered all my questions and, they even fell in love with my lil' Capone. One of the Vet Techs even gave my lil' Capone a VIP tour of the facility to meet all the staff! They treated Capone like he was their best friend, their family. Our family and Capone are incredibly grateful for all the love and kindness you showed us. With all our love, Jenn and Capone - JMag
