### Considerations for Pet Owners: Features and Highlights
When evaluating a veterinary practice, pet owners often look for specific features and qualities that contribute to a positive and effective care experience. While direct positive testimonials for Dr. Nanavati DVM are not explicitly provided in the given reviews, the nature of veterinary care in general means certain aspects are always highlighted by clients, and it's essential to consider all feedback.
Based on the provided information, the primary points of feedback revolve around critical incident management. One client described a deeply distressing experience regarding an emergency situation for a long-standing patient, where they felt unable to receive immediate assistance. This review indicates a challenge with:
- Emergency Handling and Availability: The feedback suggests that immediate emergency care or rapid appointment availability for critical situations may be a point of concern. The reviewer noted being told there were "no openings" and to "try and call back in a few hours" when their dog was in a dying state, despite being a long-term patient. This highlights the importance for pet owners to clarify emergency protocols and after-hours care policies with any veterinary office.
- Communication Regarding Services: The client expressed feeling "absolutely floored" by the lack of assistance in an emergency, suggesting a potential gap in communication about what services are available in urgent scenarios, especially for established patients.
- Patient History Recognition: The fact that the dog had been a patient "since he was a puppy" and still encountered difficulty in an urgent situation could be a point of concern for owners valuing continuity and responsiveness for long-standing clients.
It is crucial for pet owners to thoroughly investigate a practice's emergency protocols, normal operating procedures, and how they manage unexpected critical situations. This information is vital for ensuring that a chosen veterinary provider can meet all of a pet's health needs, including those that arise unexpectedly. For potential clients, reaching out directly to the clinic to discuss these aspects is highly recommended to clarify expectations regarding urgent and emergency care.

### Considerations for Connecticut Locals When Choosing Veterinary Care
For pet owners in Seymour and the wider Connecticut region, selecting a veterinary care provider is a significant decision that impacts the well-being of their beloved companions. When considering a practice like that of Dr. Nanavati DVM at 876 S Main St, it is essential to weigh all available information and prioritize factors critical to your pet's care. While general veterinary practices typically offer a range of routine and basic medical services, the experiences shared by existing clients, particularly concerning emergency responsiveness, highlight key areas for consideration.
The feedback about difficulty in securing urgent care for a long-standing patient during a critical situation is a serious concern that prospective clients should address. For pet owners, knowing that their veterinarian can provide prompt assistance in emergencies, or clearly direct them to an appropriate emergency facility, is paramount. Dr. Nanavati DVM Reviews
Sadly last Monday I had to put my 14 year old miniature schnauzer down he was a patient at the other office of Dr Manjus and when I called the office for help I was told there was no doctor in that office and to call this office. I did exactly that and was told there were no openings and to try and call back in a few hours....WHAT?! My dog was dying!!! What kind of veterinary office would not help my sick dog and he has been a patient since he was a puppy?! Iwas absolutely floored that I could not get help in a emergency situation. Thank you for nothing and I will be sure to never refer anyone to this office. Unexcusable!!!

Nov 16, 2022 · David LagomarsinoVery disappointed! I took my Pomeranian for a consult for his teeth. The vet didn’t even want to touch or hold my dog. When he finally did because he had to, he seemed scared of it. He would reach out and when my dog would move quickly take his hand away. This made my dog anxious and stressed. Not going back!
