East Carolina Veterinary Service Reviews
An amazing vet with amazing people. My kitten hadn’t urinated for almost 24 hours. I called them 45 minutes before they closed and after talking with me on the phone they said if i could get here in 30 minutes they could look at him. I got there within 25 minutes they welcomed me in immediately practically after hours, looked at my cat and gave me all the information i needed to go home feeling tons better than i did going in. Although my cat wasnt a patient with them, they still got him in. Their kindness and support is unmatched at East Carolina Veterinary.

Mar 28, 2025 · Samantha HagerRecently I brought my German Shepherd, Rose to East Carolina Veterinary Service (ECVS) for a fairly routine and unrelated reason. Luckily we saw Dr. Pat. At the end of the visit I mentioned that she hadn’t been eating the way she should. He got down and examined her abdomen. He felt her for kind of a long time and I thought uh oh. He stood up and without question said we need an x-ray. The x-ray clearly revealed a foreign object was inside of Rose. It was a surgical sponge that had been accidentally left in her from a simple spaying done two years earlier (somewhere else). For two years this thing was invading her body and her body was fighting it. It had to come out asap. It was going to be a very invasive surgery. We had to make a choice to either go to Wilson to surgical specialists or stay at ECVS with Dr. Patrick. Dr. Pat took plenty of time to explain everything we needed to consider to make our decision. My husband and I both felt a sense of confidence and trust in Dr. Pat. We chose to stay with him to do Rose’s surgery. It was the best decision we made. To make a long story a little shorter. It was a tough surgery. A surgery that I believe not just any surgeon could have pulled off as perfectly as he did. Rose is in recovery. She’s doing very well and will make a complete recovery. I would highly recommend Dr. Pat and this veterinary service. The whole staff was very caring and I thank them all. Especially Dr. Patrick Godfrey. Thank you Doc.
May 27, 2025 · Lori OliverVery friendly staff but ridiculously OVERPRICED! Yearly annual visit was over $500 (no issues with the dog) just a check up to which the vets were informed that the dog was great. They also quoted me 1200$ for a simple teeth cleaning. Absolute highway robbery. More than THREE times the cost of other local vets. I appreciate the service but that is unacceptable. I will Not be going back.
Apr 12, 2025 · Hope CarterI have been going to East Carolina Veterinary Services for about 5 years now. I am extremely pleased with all of the Vets & staff working there. It’s really nice that everyone remembers me and my baby.
