Fairborn Animal Hospital Reviews
I love this fur baby doctor office. I recently had to let my dog Riley go and the office really helped in the process. This is the MOST sickest moment in our life but they made things so peaceful. They have been the best veterans office for his entire life and helped us so much towards the end. Even though the last call was made to ease Riley's pain, they were there for me and my family. Love this office!!!
Sep 25, 2023 · Joe ReffittIf I could give zero stars I would. This place may be good if your pet needs basic care like vaccines or maybe neutered or spayed, but if your pet is seriously ill, please do NOT choose this place. My son has been going there for years with his dogs. His beautiful, wonderful husky boy became ill around July. He started having issues with his bowels and stopped eating. My son took him there for testing and test results took forever to come back. An x-ray was done to make sure there was no blockage and then the doctor decided that exploratory surgery, which is a major surgery needed to be done. This is after six weeks of my son watching his beloved dog starve to death because the doctor didn’t have a clue what was going on with him and instead of encouraging my son to go to another vet or referring him to another one, she just kept saying he needed the surgery so she could look in his intestines and stomach. My son’s dog was so weak and skinny by the time the surgery was done because she didn’t give much recommendations on how to get him to eat. So my son had her do the surgery and after surgery she started him on medication and told my son to feed him bland diet like chicken and rice as she determined that he had IBD, major surgery was NOT needed for this diagnosis. So she saw my sons dog a couple times after surgery for vitamin b12 injections, would seldom return my sons calls with his concerns or questions. My son began researching foods because his dog quit eating the chicken and rice and appeared to start having issues again so my son researched the foods to feed and chicken was a food that is bad for pets with IBD. He trusted the vet and believed she knew what she was talking about, she did not and didn’t care. My son started feeding him the proper food and he started eating again and was doing better. My son started getting concerned over the meds he was on as well and tried asking questions but she would not really answer him if she answered at all. My sons dog passed away tragically in front of my son and it happened so fast that nothing could be done, except watch the awful ordeal unfold. Turns out prednisone can cause the blood to clot and cause an embolism which is probably what happened to this poor wonderful husky that will be so missed. Instead of monitoring him and maybe starting him on a blood thinner she just did not care. He was only eight years old and had more life to live and more joy to share with others. If it was her pet I’m sure she would’ve been more proactive. If you love your pet and your pet has a serious issue, DO NOT GO HERE, this poor dog only lived four months after the surgery . My son was robbed of more years with his dog and his beautiful dog was robbed of years with my son that he loved so much. I have never heard of such a non-caring irresponsible vet in my life. The whole thing is simply tragic, again if you care for your pets and they have a serious illness DO NOT GO HERE.
Dec 04, 2024 · Lora WattersGreat service. Took wonderful care of my cat.Kept me updated with message & picture of my cat once the procedure was completed. Also contactedme the next day after my pet was back home with me to check on him. Great place to take your pets.
Mar 01, 2022 · Marian KonradComplete rip off. Paid $124 for heartworm and intestinal worm tests and never received the results. I was told the results would be in the next day. Called back two weeks after the fact because I never heard anything and they said “the results were negative but we haven’t received the results”. In every other vets office we’ve been to the results were ready before we even left the office. I can understand needing more time to process the test for intestinal parasites but after 2 weeks you’d think they’d have the results. Why would you tell me the results are negative if you don’t have the results ? How do we even know they’re negative if we haven’t received them? Why would you tell someone the results will be in tomorrow and you’re gonna call but then you can’t even follow up to tell me you’re still waiting for them? They told me that the lab they use is Antech. When I called the lab they were rude and said they couldn’t tell me anything because they don’t deal with the public. Their website does show all the tests that they do and how long the tests take and the results for heartworm and GI parasites say it would only take 1-2 days so it doesn’t add up that they actually did anything and the vet wasn’t willing to explain to me the process of how/when they send their tests off or how they receive results and no one said they’d let me know anything when the results are in or offer to make it right. Then they put me on hold and hung upUpdate: I disputed the transaction because they wouldn’t respond to my emails or phone calls. Then they sent me a letter in the mail claiming that they had the wrong number and that the employee said the results were never received on accident when they did have his results. My correct phone number was listed on my invoice from them so this claim is false and they attached his supposed results but it listed the wrong breed and information and they claimed he has giardia even though he has not once had diarrhea or vomiting in the past year. It’s upsetting that a vet would be willing to do anything but make it right just to save a buck and place no value on customer satisfaction
