Fairland Veterinary Hospital Introduce
For decades, families and farmers across Northeast Oklahoma have relied on the steadfast commitment and compassionate service provided by the Fairland Veterinary Hospital. Located conveniently in Fairland, Oklahoma, this clinic has earned a reputation that extends far beyond routine checkups. It stands as a beacon of genuine care, offering comprehensive medical services for pets and livestock alike, a critical necessity in the diverse landscape of Oklahoma animal ownership.
The history of Fairland Veterinary Hospital dates back to 1982, when Dr. Vic Boyer, an Oklahoma State University graduate, began his practice. Starting from his garage before moving to the current dedicated facility built in 1993, Dr. Boyer established a foundation rooted in a “country boy” sensibility combined with professional medical expertise. This rich history means the clinic is not just a business; it is a long-standing fixture in the community, deeply familiar with the unique needs of both domestic pets and the working animals essential to the local agribusiness.
The dedication to patient and client welfare is perhaps the most defining characteristic of the hospital. Customer testimonials frequently recount experiences that go above and beyond the expected. For instance, in a deeply emotional and urgent situation involving a pet hit by a car, the staff at Fairland Veterinary Hospital demonstrated graciousness, sympathy, and great comfort, even when it was sadly too late to save the animal. This profound level of empathy, which included sending a sympathy card and a thoughtful gift weeks after the incident, highlights a genuine commitment to supporting pet owners through their most difficult times.
Beyond moments of crisis, the clinic is continually praised for providing great, life-saving care. One reviewer explicitly stated that the hospital “Saved our dog’s life,” demonstrating the high stakes and competence involved in their daily practice. This trust is built on the staff's willingness to take the time to answer questions thoroughly and provide clear, compassionate counsel, ensuring pet owners are comfortable and informed about their animal's treatment plan.
In a region where animal needs range from canine dental care to bovine herd health, the ability to serve both small and large animals is a tremendous advantage. This dual-focus ensures that Fairland Veterinary Hospital acts as a centralized, expert resource for the entire community, from city-dwelling pet parents to rural farm owners. They understand the importance of preventative care for all creatures, large and small, and strive to offer reasonably priced, high-quality veterinary medicine.
Prospective clients are advised that appointments are recommended. This scheduling practice is put in place to ensure that every patient receives adequate time and attention from the veterinary team, minimizing wait times and maximizing the quality of care provided. While appointments are the standard, the highly compassionate nature of the staff suggests they work diligently to accommodate urgent or emergency situations as their capacity allows, as demonstrated by the emotional accounts shared by clients.

- I can't stop being impressed by the kind and careful service at the Fairland Vet Clinic. My Dutch Shepherd was hit by a car less than a block from the vet I had been going to in Grove. They had just closed and wouldn't answer the door or the phone so I had to drive to Fairland. The people at the clinic in Fairland were gracious and sympathetic and although it was too late, they were a great comfort. They also accommodated my cremation needs and were helpful in every way. A few weeks after the incident, they sent a sympathy card and a gift.If I ever get another pet, this is the only place I would take them. Highly recommend them! August 18 · rick magley
- I took our big baby Sophia Blu there because we had been fighting what appeared to be an allergy problem(chewing on her feet and constantly scratching one ear) for awhile with different vets.I am glad to say that one trip to this great facility and awesome staff, that she is doing much better now.I want to thank all the people who helped get her on the right track. - Chief, my King Shepherd, is a sweet boy with all of our family and friends but scared to death of the doctor's office. The veterinarian here was very patient, kind, understanding, and able to convince Chief to let us complete his yearly exam with vaccines and a heartworm test. The office is clean, the staff are friendly, and the doctor and his assistants are awesome. We will definitely be back. August 26 · Story Sykes
