Feeling Pawsitive Veterinary Behavioral Solutions Reviews
It's no understatement to say Dr. Hilliard and her practice changed my life - not to mention the life of my dog, Penny. Before consulting Dr. Hilliard, Penny could best be described as neurotic, frenetic, obnoxious, and constantly in action. She was rarely still for more than a moment, spent hours every day circling and chasing her tail, and she marched around the house incessantly at all hours of the day and night, preventing any of us from getting a good night's sleep. She was miserable and sadly, so was everyone else in my household, because of her inability to just rest. We met with Dr. Hilliard who was incredibly thorough and detailed, asking many questions about Penny's behavior and environment, and really exploring all of the factors contributing to Penny's mental health. Ultimately, she recommended a cocktail of medications and some environmental adjustments to see how Penny might improve - and the difference is nothing short of staggering! For the 1st time in 4 years, Penny slept through the night! She will actually rest in my lap like a typical dog and nearly all of her obsessive behaviors have entirely stopped. She's gone from being an unbearable nuisance to an absolute delight! She's still a fun-loving and energetic puppy and now, all of us can enjoy her and she's truly living a happy and peaceful life! Taking the time to meet with Dr. Hilliard was worth every penny. I only wish we'd seen her sooner!
Jun 24, 2025 · Carissa VowelsSo impressed with Dr Hilliards thoroughness and thoughtfulness! I have a sweet sweet dog struggling with pain and anxiety which has turned into aggression. She made us feel comfortable talking about it all and made Rosie as comfortable as possible during our visit. We explored every avenue to help Rosie be her best and make our lives a little easier. My husband and I feel much more confident in our plan to take care of her
May 23, 2025 · Christina SchultzDr. Hilliard’s expertise has given us hope that things in our house will soon be “pawsitive” again! All puns aside, having an anxiety-ridden, reactive, fearful dog can be incredibly discouraging. We expect our pups to be happy-go-lucky and love their lives so we can unload human stressors. Unfortunately, that’s not always what we get.Our Lily is now 4 years old and finally beginning to bloom. After only a handful of months, we see SO much less anxiety and reactivity but many more zoomies!!! The level of commitment and resources (medication, training, constant communication) that Dr. H and Hannah provide is invaluable to pet parents like us. THANK YOU!!!!
Jul 01, 2025 · Rebecca HendersonDr. Hilliard is an amazing doctor/person! She is helping us with our 1 year old rescue dog Marty who has severe anxiety. We are currently working on different techniques and medications to help him. Dr. Hilliard has been instrumental in helping Marty and us during very challenging times. She has always answered all of our questions and concerns and always gets back to us promptly. Her love and concern for animals and their owners is very apparent. We are so thankful for her and her wonderful staff. Thank you Dr. Hilliard for helping the helpless. God bless you always.
Jan 13, 2025 · Erika KoundryDr. Adele Hilliard is obviously very knowledgeable, both as a vet and a Behaviorist. She has a wonderfully warm and calm bedside manner, and immediately put me at ease, as well as my pup, Skye. She showed a genuine interest in Skye and was very compassionate with respect to his behavioral issues and everything we had gone through in the last year. Dr. Hilliard's treatment plan was extremely well thought out and comprehensive. She is a great communicator and because there was so much information for us to absorb, she graciously allowed us to record our session, which I found to be extremely helpful. She also provided extensive written exam notes. Dr. Hilliard and her staff were very open to answering all of our questions. Most of all, she made me feel hopeful about the potential for Skye's future progress.
