Sep 01, 2017 · charity harawayDr. Lord does amazing work! She is so kind and patient with her patients! I have been so impressed at how much she has helped my pets with various ailments. I've learned more about nutrition for dogs than with any other doctor. Her staff is so sweet and do a great job. I am so impressed with everyone at Four Paws!
Jan 13, 2015 · L ReynoldsAfter x-rays at my regular vet showed that bad arthritis was the cause of my cat limping so badly, I took her for acupuncture. After the fourth or fifth visit, limping was almost gone. I spaced the visits out more and my 11 year old cat runs around the house like she is 5 again. I now plan on pacing out visits to about 8 times per year for continued care. But if she begins limping again, I will increase the frequency. Dr. Lorde is great and is not pushy about what you must do. She advises and leaves the care decisions up to you because you know your pet best. My human acupuncturist reminded me that animals do not have a placebo effect so the treatment either works or doesn't. Obviously it did! My cat isn't thrilled about being loaded in her carrier and taken there but after the tiny copper needles are inserted, she just lies down and waits until the treatment is done and the needles are taken out. I was quite surprised by her behavior. Sometimes she doesn't want to leave! Cat acupuncture is more expensive than human acupuncture but I guess there is a hazardous duty pay addition since there is no risk of me biting or scratching my acupuncturist. LOL! It was definitely worth the cost and time to see my cat act so young and agile again.
Aug 03, 2019 · Kathy DuncanDr. Tracy Lord has prolonged my sanity as well as my 12 yr dog & 14 yr cat lives. I went to several other offices before obtaining correct diagnosis by her on both my precious fur babies. She referred me to another office that specializes in diabetes for my dog while she handled the other medications, accupuncture, testing bladder infection and incontinence, plus loss of hind legs use. She focus on diet change to raw & supplements. I had been buying top designer brands made for pug breed and organic grain free can food all pups life. I spent my high school & college years working as surgical & veterinary assistant for several vets. I successfully bred top akc dogs for years. She has inceased a quality of life to another 14 yr old dog after surgery to remove liver cancer performed next door at Blue Pearl. She knows what she can do well and is direct and stays in her area of expertise. She works with us humans as we work through our processes and financial constraints. She listened when I wanted to take her recommendations out of order and play wait and see approach before running more tests upfront, and never made me feel I was taking the wrong approach. It is so refreshing to have a real conversation with a doctor and discuss options, ideas and approaches and not be made to feel the Doctor disagrees and gets impatient with your process. She honored and respects the owners gut instinct who knows their pet. Dr. Lord knew where to send us for care if outside of her specialty and works in unison with that other veterinarian. I couldn't recommend her or her wonderful staff any more. Animal care has gotten too expensive no matter where one goes so I choose to spend my dollars wisely.
