★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1GoodVets Andersonville was incredible during one of the most difficult times. My cat, Spats, had suddenly gone blind and was very ill. I initially took him to GoodVets Evanston. While the vet there was kind, he wasn’t very helpful—he prescribed eye drops and said to wait a week. A few days later, my cat was getting worse. When I reviewed the visit summary, I noticed they hadn’t taken his temperature or blood pressure, despite suspecting hypertension as a cause of the blindness. When I asked, the vet said they didn’t yet have the equipment since they’d just opened.I had already paid for an office visit, and some basic care had been missed, so I asked if he could coordinate with another GoodVets location to get my cat seen quickly. That’s how we ended up at GoodVets Andersonville—and I’m so glad we did. From the moment we arrived, the vet and staff were caring, compassionate, and thorough. The vet clearly explained our treatment options, followed up with calls to check on my cat, and even offered additional medication suggestions without requiring another visit. Sadly, my cat was too sick to recover, but I truly believe that if we had gone to the Andersonville location first, Spats might still be with us.
May 06 · Skip SamsWe have been going to GoodVet since they opened. I have to say I’ve gotten used to the minimal interaction between vets and my dogs. But! I was recently impressed with Dr. Brian for being so thorough with Mochi. He checked her spine after reading her notes on having IVDD and checked her legs and heart health. He even suggested she lose some weight. I really appreciate the honesty and care. Will go back to see Dr. Brian.
July 06 · N TranAlways calm and quiet. From the front desk staff, to the vet tech/ veterinarian. Always a great experience. Speaking with Dr. Katy is like chatting with a friend about your kids. Understanding and professional!
April 21 · David GalbreathLove taking my cat here! Everyone is nice, it’s easy to get to, and easy to get an appointment in.HIGHLY recommend getting the Wellness Care plan. The monthly payments are a fraction of what the yearly need would cost without the plan.Overall, lovely place that makes me and my cat feel taken care of.
February 13 · Brent WolffIf you really care about your pets and want them to get good care, do them a favor and don’t go to GoodVets. I’ve had way too many issues with this place and each time they’ve shown a disturbing lack of accountability.First, they asked me to bring in a fecal sample for my dog which I hand-delivered in person. Days went by with no update. When I finally followed up, they took forever to respond, then claimed they couldn’t find it and acted like I’d never dropped it off at all. If they had just checked their cameras, they’d know I did. The way it was handled was careless and dismissive. The worst part? No one seemed to care until I brought the issue up to corporate. Only then did anyone start responding or attempting to fix the issue. Then, when we got our dog neutered there, we also asked them to microchip him. We thought that was all set, but months later at a check-up, we found out they never actually did it. They didn’t take responsibility either, just tried to shift the blame. On top of everything, they never call to explain or fix things, they just leave voicemails and avoid talking. There are plenty of better places out there that actually own their mistakes and care about your pet. I wouldn’t trust GoodVets again.
