★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Update: I can not say enough about this place. We love all the staff and will not use another vet unless forced, too.***************************************This place was amazing on every level. The office staff is pleasant and friendly. Both the doctors we saw we fantastic with us and our fur baby. Their prices are a little lower than average in my opinion, I called about 6 places, and they were the cheapest to walk in the door. The first time we went, there was no wait time, but for our follow-up appointment, there were a few emergencies and only 1 doctor. We did have to wait a little while, but it was not extreme. This will be our only vet from now on.
June 26 · Stacy RivasSo thankful to have found a clinic that cares for birds. I drove down from Michigan after trying to find a bird vet closer to home. I was late due to lane closures and back ups but they still let me come. All the staff were very friendly. The vet spent a lot of time discussing my birds diet, care etc. Didn’t feel rushed and the bird care was great.
August 07 · Caryl Thompson (MVP Realty, Inc.)If I could leave zero stars, I would. I’ve been coming to this clinic for years without any problems—until now. I told the doctor I was driving from Indiana to California, and he told me I needed a health certificate. What they failed to mention was that the certificate is only valid for a few days. When I followed up, they said too much time had passed and I needed to pay for another one, which cost me $80. After all that, I was then told that a health certificate isn’t even required if you’re driving. They also told me my pet needed rabies vaccinations, which also turned out to be false. I’m only 18 years old, and they took hundreds of dollars from me based on information that wasn’t even accurate. I was just trying to be responsible and prepared, and instead I was misled and taken advantage of. This experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing.
June 16 · Vale FloresMy sugar glider suddenly had a bump on her face one night. I had the hardest time getting into a vet due to my work hours and most near me having little to no exotics experience. Most wouldn’t even see her.I drove an hour to come to this clinic after trying to make it work at other vets for a couple days. Their office fee was more than reasonable and he was so good with our glider she decided to climb all over him and didn’t want to come back to me right away, despite being well bonded with me. In the 8 years we’ve had her and her sister we’ve been lucky to not need a vet more than their initial health screening. So glad we have a go to option within somewhat reasonable distance now. Since our first vet is now 3+ hours away from our new home. She’s on antibiotics and I haven’t noticed a change in the bump on her face yet. He thinks it’s a scratch that closed up but got infected. We are only on day 2 of the meds but I was so impressed I needed to share. It was a great experience. I might even start bringing our dogs here, though they have a vet closer to home. They got us right into an exam room which matters because they could easily be disturbed by other clients bringing in their larger animals. We did not wait long at all. Just a spectacular experience and we have a follow up in two weeks too.Update: my baby is all better and back to eating normal and gaining some weight back. Her checkup went well and they didn’t even charge me for the follow up visit!
July 18 · Megan WrightDO NOT TAKE YOUR REPTILES/ANPHIBIANS HERE, they claim to have a doctor that deals with turtle's but it's clear he does not know much about them @ all.. I took my baby turtle to them last Tuesday bc she had not been eating or moving around much, she was keeping her eyes closed a lot & opening her mouth a lot when out of water.. among other things like not pooping, her float was off & she was making a clicking noise when out of water.. Clearly something was going on with her but I was told that she looks like a happy, healthy turtle. It did not matter what I said, he was convinced she was fine & blatantly ignored my concerns. He gave her some cbd drops, which turned out to irritate her eyes right away.. I called the next day to tell them that now she's keeping her eyes shut completely & I was told by that same doctor to stop giving her the drops & to call him on Monday with an update.. If I had thought that she had that much time to waste I never would've taken her to them in the 1st place, they had done nothing for me & just kept brushing me off. They charged me $113 for doing nothing for Shelly, when they called Thursday to check on her I let them know she was not doing good @ all & they should consider giving me some money back bc now I had to take her an hour & a half away to another vet.. She said she would ask the doctor & call me back & big surprise, I didn't hear from her again. By Friday, Shelly was so bad off her eyes were starting to swell & she would not eat @ all.. The vet in Valparaiso gave her a vitamin A & calcium shot & I now have to give her antibiotic shots for a month.. I had taken Shelly to Goshen Animal clinic to avoid her getting so sick but they did nothing but waste my time & money. Arbor View animal hospital is the name of the vet in Valparaiso & I would definitely recommend them as an alternative to Goshen.
