★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Grant Veterinary Care provided above and beyond care for my Great Dane, Gora. Dr. Turner made my dog feel safe and comfortable the entire time she was there. She kept Gora safe during her spay surgery, responded appropriately and checked up on us to make sure my dog was recovering well. You want an affordable but still compassionate vet-- look no further.
March 28 · Brittany S.If you’re on the hunt to find a one of a kind and amazing vet…look no further! This is the place to go! I move around the US a lot due to work so my 3 pups have been to their fair share of vets. Without a doubt, Grant Vet is by far the best place we have been! Short version review 100000/10 recommend! If you value detailed reviews…continue reading, multiple visits/pets and a list of nothing by HIGH praises!!The office alone is amazing, it’s welcoming and extremely clean. Doc Turner and her staff completely exceed all expectations as a whole. I am very picky about where I take my 4 legged children (the human kind are grown and the pups are the babies) and I read and take reviews very seriously.Moved here from CO with the oldest pup having cancer, and my youngest being semi reactive and needing neutered. I have known Doc Turner for a while now (about 10 years ago I worked directly with her for a short time). I finally moved back to the area and saw she opened her own practice which has been a goal of hers even back then. I knew right then, Doc Turner and her staff were the only ones I would allow and felt comfortable with to handle both of my special circumstance pups.Fast forward a few weeks to neuter day for my semi reactive boy and they were simply amazing. They handled him with compassion, patience and understanding (if you know the struggle, you understand that depth of gratitude) AND they took the time to make me feel comfortable and content about everything also. If you’re pets are your babies too…you understand the importance! I wholeheartedly couldn’t have asked for a better experience for him during that process.Continuing on, I’ve read many Veterinarian Practice reviews (all over the u.s) discussing pricing for procedures and such…and some pet owners will look around for the cheapest prices (everything is so expensive these days). But when you take time to research and break everything down, actually looking at the itemized care she provides vs the other places…she goes above and beyond to make sure the pet is comfortable through the visit/procedure AND after you take them home. Other places are quantity driven. Doc Turner is about quality. Additionally if you take the compassion aspect into consideration that her & the staff provide, I will pay whatever i have to, if that means my pup is taken care of in all aspects and not just cycled in and out like a revolving door. The last thing i will touch on (i could speak high praises all day) is the knowledge and experience within her practice. The wealth of knowledge and experience Doc Turner has is amazing. She has done this for many years and she is that rare individual who never stops learning so she can provide the very best care for her patients. You can tell, she is in this career field to be a voice for the pets that she treats, to advocate for them and to be the very best Veterinarian she can be for them. She treats each pet with compassion as if they were her very own.So if you’re still on the fence of choosing a Vet, let this be your sign to choose Grant Vet Care for your pet. I am confident you will not be disappointed.
January 31 · Shawna SionsIt was the best experience. I rescued a feral kitten 7 months ago that still won’t let me near him, my vet would not see him, but Grant took him without question. Staff was awesome and doc was GREAT!!! They took care of his neuter, shots, and flea and tick even as he growled and hissed at them. He is doing awesome and now all my pets will be going there.
April 16 · Jennifer Dell'AnnoIf we could rate 1,000 stars we would. We recently got a new pup and selected Grant Veterinary Care. We couldn’t be happier. Our pup has massive fear anxiety over going to the vet, they make it so easy and have all the patience in the world. (Putting our pup at easy makes our hearts so full.) We almost hate sharing this info because everyone in this office is such a gem, we don’t wanna share them!
April 12 · One Nation RestorationI chose this practice in March 2024 to neuter my Boston Terrier for several reasons. I searched for spay and neuter prices in our area, and few vets have them listed. Grant Veterniary Care had a list of all their prices. We knew that our new puppers would need shots and a microchip besides his neuter. But Dr. Grant also listed information about Nares surgery. I've had brachycephalic dogs before, but I had never considered this! I think I had heard that smoosh faced dogs have a higher risk of complications during anesthesia. Seeing that Dr. Grant addressed nares surgery impressed me and made me feel like she would be the best Dr. for Rock's surgery. So, I signed our new friend up for a Boston Make-Over.What we also didn't know is that our little guy is a little spicy. Plainly put, he is (I hope was) a biter. But everyone in the office was incredibly helpful and nice. He got all of his shots, a nose job, microchip, and neuter. Turns out little man also had a severe ear infection. No worries! Dr. Grant to the rescue. He got another shot, and we were on our way home. Our dog healed up quickly, and I immediately noticed a difference in his ability to breathe. I'm sure he also felt much better after getting treatment for his ear infection too! We came back in for a recheck and vaccine booster about 6 weeks later. Rocky was amazing. We explained to Dr. Grant that we were working with Rocky on his spicy disposition, and she commended us for not giving up. I appreciated the validation. Rocky got his booster and was a model dog the entire time. He loves Dr. Grant and her staff. We've had our Rocky for a year now. The only reason Grant Veterinary isn't our primary vet is our location. We are in Southern Virginia Beach. But I have peace of mind knowing that if our current vet couldn't see Rocky, I know and trust Dr. Grant. If Rocky needed surgery today or a dental cleaning, I would consult with Dr. Grant. No doubt.I highly recommend Dr. Grant!! She and her staff are wonderful. They're professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. Your pet is in excellent hands! And if you live in another city, consider traveling to Dr. Grant. She is worth it!
