Gray Fox Animal Hospital, LLC Reviews
Everyone in this vet office is amazing! They take their time with your pet and really show how much they care about your pet. They are patient, knowledgeable and very thorough with every visit. When we had to have a pet put down, we felt confident in that hard decision. The staff is compassionate, gives you as much time as needed and are very supportive. We have been with office for over 13 years and never had a bad experience. I highly recommend Gray Fox, definitely a 10/10.
Apr 16, 2025 · Kim VillariI wish I could give this clinic zero stars. My experience here was not only frustrating but straight up dangerous for my dog. The vet, Dr. Bernadette, prescribed a medication at a dosage higher than what was safe for her and she was on that dose for 9 months before it was caught. When I raised concerns about how this could’ve happened, they blamed the pharmacy, then turned around and blamed me for not double-checking the dosage. The clinic only keeps paper records and denies any wrongdoing so it is unfortunately my word against theirs, but I vividly remember the day this happened and remember being shocked that she wanted to DOUBLE my dogs dose.To make matters worse, I had to play phone tag for over a week just to get a response from the vet, Dr. Bernadette. When she finally called me, instead of reassuring me that we caught the mistake in time, she coldly told me that I was lying, it was the pharmacy’s fault and that she would never prescribe a dose so high because it would “probably cause lasting effects” for my dog. She also told me that she knew many stories of nursing home patients “dying because of pharmacy error.” I understand that she will never agree/admit that she made an error, but in what world is it appropriate to make that comparison to a person who is already clearly scared that her dog is going to suffer from this mess up?Because they only keep paper records and do not send electronic scripts into the pharmacy, my only proof of their mistake is my memory. They also made it incredibly difficult to get my dog’s records when I tried to transfer her to a new vet, charging me a $12 fee for 12 sheets of paper. Which, to be honest, because the paper copy could’ve so easily been replaced/changed, the documents don’t mean much to me. The final straw however was when they refused to send over the records to Pets Best when I tried to make an insurance claim for a round of tests I had to get for my dog at a new clinic (due to the medication mishap). They told me I could “do it myself.”On top of everything, the way I was treated by both a few front desk staff (not all, a couple of them were very nice and helpful, but I do not have their names), and Dr. Bernadette was probably some of the worst customer service/care that I’ve ever received —gaslighting, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Examples being the phone call from the vet mentioned previously, being laughed at in the office, watching two of the techs talk about me in front of me, making faces when I was speaking, etc.I’ve never left a negative review for a business, but this was beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. This clinic’s negligence put my dog at risk, and their attitude made an already stressful situation even worse. Hopefully this was an unfortunate one-off situation, but I would never trust them with my animals again.
