Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals
For pet owners across New Jersey, particularly those in Mantua Township and surrounding areas, Banfield Pet Hospital on Woodbury Glassboro Road presents itself as a readily accessible option for veterinary care. Its model, heavily focused on preventive care through its Optimum Wellness Plans®, can be an attractive feature for locals seeking to budget for their pet's health and ensure regular check-ups and vaccinations. The appeal lies in the convenience of its location and the potential cost savings offered by these plans, which aim to provide comprehensive routine care. However, it is crucial for New Jersey residents to approach this location with an understanding of the experiences shared by some clients. While Banfield's corporate mission emphasizes quality and a "Better World for Pets," recent customer reviews for this specific Mantua Township location have expressed significant concerns regarding operational consistency, communication, and, in severe cases, the quality of care received. Issues such as late-arriving staff, last-minute cancellations, unannounced closures, and communication breakdowns regarding medication pick-up highlight potential frustrations for busy pet owners. More critically, serious allegations of negligence and dissatisfaction with medical outcomes, including tragic instances, suggest a need for thorough due diligence. While the national Banfield brand offers a standardized approach to pet health and potentially attractive wellness plans, locals are strongly advised to consider the specific, localized feedback. For New Jersey pet owners, a direct call ahead for any visit, and perhaps seeking firsthand accounts from other local pet parents, would be prudent to ensure that this particular Banfield Pet Hospital location aligns with their expectations for reliable and compassionate care for their cherished animal companions.

Banfield Pet Hospital Reviews
Poorly run. My dog had an appointment for a dental cleaning. They called the day before and told me to have her fast the night before and drop her off at 7am the day of the appointment. I arrived on time. Employees showed up late and said the doctor called out, and I had to reschedule. I brought her back for her rescheduled appointment and I got there before the employees again. They shouldn’t make drop off time so early if their employees are supposed to arrive at 7 because 1) they’re late and 2) It gives no time for them to call you if the doctor calls out and you will waste time/gas getting there. Fast forward to today, I came to pick up my dog’s medicine after speaking with their staff yesterday and they said they would have her medicine ready for pickup today. I arrive and their sign says they’re closed for today. Again I wasted my time and gas coming here. Now I’ll have to come back again to pick the meds up. If you bring your pet here, call ahead of time to see if anyone is actually working. Much better experience at the Turnersville location.
Jun 19, 2025 · Chastity-Star SandersPlease DO NOT bring your fur baby here! The doctors were very negligent and my puppy passed away because of them. They weren’t even responsible enough to put information in his medical file and they were of no help or assistance. Something so easily preventable and they were no help. So disgusted with this place
Dec 28, 2024 · aiyanna santiagoAbsolutely horrible. Definitely will not be bringing any of my pets back here again. I called in to get an estimate of services i wanted done. Then i bring my dog in with a minor concern and they try to sell me thousands of dollars in xrays & bloodwork. After 4 minutes of my dog being here the "doctor" calls to sell me on $581 in blood tests and $1000 xrays and $181 in antibiotics and we didn't even get into the pricing on the other things he wanted to do. It's a complete joke that they could expect people to pay this much for this...

Nov 26, 2024 · Alexandra RodriquezThe customer service is terrible. I called six times to try and get her heart-guard approved from Allivet. They told me numerous times that they would get an answer and no one called me back. Other times someone would call me back with still no answer. Very frustrating and because of it my dog lapsed on her heartguard medicine. We left and I would not recommend anyone bring their pets here sadly.
