May 15 · The VallinsI’m rating Covington Hometown vets as five stars not because Dr. Doss was able to save my cat – nothing short of a miracle would have done that – but because she tried so hard to help him. We moved to Covington in 2022 and for the last three years, Dr. Doss provided excellent care for my elderly, diabetic cat. It takes a great deal of humility to recognize one’s limits, and I think she has that. The mass that would have killed him came on fast and was only detectable through X-rays; blood work showed the kind of metrics normal for an elderly, diabetic cat who had not been eating much. When we saw the size of the mass enveloping his kidney, Dr. Doss recommended I get a second opinion before making any decisions, and I did that. Ultimately there was nothing that could be done, and I had to make the hardest decision a pet parent can. I had to say goodbye to my best friend of sixteen years, but Hometown vet’s End of Life Services were organized and made an otherwise impossible day much easier. I thank them immensely for their compassion and kindness. When I am ready to bring another animal into my life, I will definitely make them my vet.
August 06 · Jennifer BradleyUnfortunately we weren’t contacted the day of our appointment and got all the way to the office and was turned around due to the doctor having an emergency. There is only one doctor at this location. They stated they called us but we had no missed call or voicemail. They could have emailed as well. Our poor pup isn’t used to the car and unfortunately she had to take a long ride for no reason. First impression is always best, so unfortunately we will have to try another vet.
April 24 · T WWe recently had an emergency with our cat: Cleo. Dr.Doss and the whole staff could not have been more caring and easy to work with to get Cleo in for a visit. Cleo is doing well, the Tech reached out throughout the experience, and Dr. Doss and the Tech answered all my questions. These folks really care and are wonderful.
May 03 · Daniel BrownI would recommend to everyone.. best experience ever they were so sweet and gentle to my kitten and he loved them and was so good with them because of how amazing they were and will be going back to them for both of my babies when needed. So thank you Hometown Vets!!
