★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Parking can be precarious at best, the office staff are professional and friendly. The facility is clean. Fees are the norm. They do actually treat RABBITS! This is so hard to find in the city. Many Vets advertise that they treat Exotic animals but do not!
August 22 · Julie E RobertsHyde Park Animal Clinic left us high and dry! We had a good vet here, but she left the practice. The clinic didn't notify us, cancelled our prescriptions, and now our dog is temporarily without necessary medication. We only found out our vet had left when we tried to get our dog's usual prescription and the pharmacy said it couldn't be filled. When we called HPAC to sort it out, they told us that they had cancelled all of our dog's active prescriptions without notifying us because our vet moved to a new practice. Even though a different vet still at HPAC had seen our dog recently and they have all of our medical records, the clinic refused to re-issue the prescriptions they cancelled. We just moved to another city and thought our existing prescriptions would bridge the gap until we could get a new vet appointment, but HPAC's poor handling of vet turnover means our dog will have a potentially harmful gap in her medicine.
August 19 · Celeste LabedzWhen my cat was sick with FIP Dr. Williams came highly recommended as someone who was empathetic and knowledgeable as a vet. While I agree he was very friendly and knowledgeable the same cannot be said for his practice. As my cat deteriorated and stopped eating we called multiple times, for more than a week, to request prescriptions for anti-nausea and appetite stimulants. The receptionists told us repeatedly that they had passed out request to the vet, but we never received a follow-up. At no point during her condition did they follow up without being prompted, and even after my cat has passed we've not heard a word or response from them.Save your time and potentially your pet. Don't come here.
April 04 · UltimateAmplifyI’ve always used them particularly doctor Baker. She is awesome. Very patient. She explains everything very clearly and the prices are reasonable. I wouldn’t take them anywhere else.
July 18 · kay beeI took my pet here in May for a checkup and to inquire about the international pet certificate because we were moving abroad. To make a long story short, the Dr. (I think his name was Dr. Williams)my cat saw said that he couldn't give it to her due to timelines, which I understood, but I what I didn't understand was his lack of emotional capacity. You would think a vet would understand how close people are with their pets. I was visibly upset about me possibly not being able to take my pet abroad, and he smiled while delivering the news and telling me he cant do the international exam. Saying:"I don't think you understand how difficult it is to travel."What I want to believe he "meant" to say was how difficult it can be to travel abroad with a pet (which I hadn't done before). But that's not what he said, and words matter. I thought it was rude to say that to someone who who has multiple stamps in their passport, a BA in International Studies, and was moving abroad for high level research purposes. Anyway, I took her to another vet that same week and my cat and I have been living abroad for almost a month now.
