★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to Bella this afternoon. It was one of the toughest things I've ever had to do. She was such a sweet girl and had so much personality. I can't say enough positive things about KMAH; they really are wonderful. On this visit we primarily worked with Dr. Smith, Dr. Mary, Rachel and Mercy. I'm sure I'm leaving out several others but everyone that we interacted with were so caring and compassionate and professional. They stayed in contact with us several times a day throughout Bella's stay and kept us fully aware of her condition and prognosis. God Bless each and everyone at KMAH.
May 31 · Phil KirklandKennesaw Mountain Animal Hospital has exceeded all expectations and truly sets the gold standard for veterinary care. From the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted with warmth and professionalism, creating a welcoming atmosphere for both pets and their humans. The veterinarian I worked with was fantastic. I highly recommend Dr. Rachel Lopez and the entire staff are exceptional. They demonstrate genuine compassion and expertise in every interaction, taking the time to listen to concerns, conduct thorough examinations, and explain diagnoses and treatment plans in detail. You can truly feel that every member of the team deeply cares about the well-being of the animals they treat and are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care possible. They treat your pets like family, building a trusting relationship with both you and your beloved companions.
August 06 · Tim ClineDr. Lopez, Hannah, and the front desk staff are the most caring, amazing, big hearted staff we’ e ever encountered during our lifetime of having furkids.I have never seen such expert care for a cat before- none of my cats in the past EVER enjoyed the vet and always when I would take them to the veterinarian, it resulted in trauma, yowling, fur flying, and multiple lacerations. And then sulking for days afterwards… And that was just my reaction!Well, Dr. Lopez and all of the wonderful staff at Kennesaw Animal Hospital have made me believe that a trip to the vet’s could actually be a calm and stress-free event.I recently had to take my great Uncle (who is in his 90s) and his cat named Jassy(who isn’t in her 90s but can act like it) to the vet for the cat to get her annual checkup. And I expected nothing worse than WWIII as I escorted both into the lobby for our appointment. But the moment I set the kitty carrier down on the front desk, the concern the front desk staff showed both Jassy and my Great Uncle put both at immediate ease.Jassy stopped “singing the song of her people” and my Uncle actually smiled. That alone warmed my heart but the visit got even better as we were introduced to Dr. Lopez and Hannah, who gave Jassy such sweet back scritches and kitty treats that she never realized she was being weighed, or having her temperature taken, or even getting her annual rabies shot!My jaw dropped when Dr. Lopez shared that she was done with everything. We had all been so engaged in conversation and watching Jassy enjoy the attention, it was truly the easiest vet visit I’d ever experienced!I would highly recommend Kennesaw Animal Hospital for anyone seeking professional veterinarians with wonderful bedside manner for furkids and their humans! And Jassy agrees!!! 😊
June 09 · E BowenI took both of my dogs to KMAH for a routine checkup. $4000 later I have determined this establishment is a "procedure mill".During exam one of my dogs was found to have a small tumor in her mouth. The vet stated it needed to be removed immediately rather than biopsy. This was not bother the dog at the time. Come to find out the tumor after being removed and sent to UGA is a Periodontal ordontologic fibroma, which is very common and typically isn't removed unless it is causing the dog pain or bother. ($1300 surgery) then my dog had to come back for follow up care for diarrhea/vomitting (another $500)Dog 2 started exhibiting similar symptoms around the same time as dog 1. Went to KMAH to see what was wrong as the dog was having diarrhea and vomiting with limited appetite. After tests and chest xray the doctor called me with news that the dog had a blockage in the lower GI and need led exploratory surgery(100lb lab = approx $6-8k) and that the "injuries" were life threatening without the surgery I told the vet that I wouldn't be doing that on a 10 year old lab when there was nothing clear and present and I wanted to discuss options and look at the xrays and that I would leave work early to come pick him up at 3pm. When I arrive the vet was unavailable to speak to me and was performing routine surgery(a spay). I was sent to a vet tech who provided me nothing but another $1500 bill(which i was forced to pay before even seeing my ailing dog). I took the dog to blue pearl(a real animal hospital) and they reviewed the xrays and stated there was a slight blockage but nothing clear and present. The prescribed some probiotics and a medicine to force the dog to eat. He passed the blockage and is fine today.Needless to say I will never be back to this vet. They treated me like an open wallet, were non communicative and generally provided bad care. Also most likely the vomiting/diarrhea issues that both of my dogs had were because day something they picked up at KMAH due to the timing of both events.I will be filing with the vet board, the AG of gerogia and might even file a personal lawsuit against them for the pain and anguish they caused my family after telling us our dog was going to die and then providing no additional information.
May 30 · Will HowardWe used this vet for about 3 years before finally switching and we are glad we did. We had numerous “rare” diagnoses for both of our dogs where the cost to diagnose and continual medications were outrageously expensive. Our new vet was shocked at some of the stuff KMAH had us do and the “diagnoses” from the dogs medical records. Additionally, they claim to be a “no force vet” so essentially wanted to sedate our dogs anytime we had to come in. After trying to give us a THIRD prescription to use for sedatives, we found a new vet. We figured they wanted the medication money. Oh and our new vet had us off all of the dog medications KMAH had us on “forever” within 6 months. I will note that it does appear that most of the staff has been replaced since we were customers from 2019-2023.
