★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- They were not up front about the price of a nail trim. They quoted me $23 but charged me $40 because they had to put a muzzle on my dog. No one has ever had to muzzle him before to cut his nails, including this place. I was in the waiting room...they could have come and let me know before they muzzled him and let me know the nail trim was going to cost more. I absolutely would have wanted to be informed about their muzzling my dog and charging $17 more because of it. He has never needed to be muzzled anywhere else, I question their competency.EDIT: WOW! WOW! WOW!After sharing my experience with Kirksville Small Animal Hospital in an online post I have heard stories from so many people who are/were very dissatisfied with the deceitful and unprofessional practices of this Vet office! - Super great staff! Traveling through the area and needed my dog to be seen for a swollen ear, they were willing to fit her in even as a new patient on such short notice. Front desk staff, the techs, and vet were all very friendly and accommodating to my dog. Highly recommend! May 26 · Lydia Oliver
- I spent hundreds of dollars for all the yearly shots, flea prevention, etc. The paperwork doesn’t show the FVRCP shots so I called and asked why it wasn’t listed and I was told she had no idea why but if I wanted to pay another $60 then they could add it. They gave my cats multiple shots during the visit but mysteriously they only have record of one shot. She again said she had no idea why they weren’t given the shot I took them in for.I also caught them writing down my credit card info on a piece of paper while typing it into the computer to pay for the appointment. I asked for the paper to take home to shred and she argued with me, seemed surprised I was objecting, kept the paper and walked away. That card was cancelled before I walked out the door. - Dr. Lisa is the best vetenarian anywhere! She takes her time when diagnosing our dog! SHES THE BEST!!! April 16 · Kim Kennedy
- I came in with an emergency, minutes before losing my cat, Rusty. He had a urinary tract blockage and his bladder was literally about to kill him. I really thought my only option was putting him down (of course not knowing why he was so sick). I had minutes to make a choice, and of course I chose to do whatever it took to possibly save him. They rushed him back, and within 4 days, I had a healthy, wonder baby again! I'll be forever grateful that they saved my cat! Thank you all, so much! May 13 · Leanne Whaley
