★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- *edit* I was supposed to be given a five day course of antibiotics for my cat And I’m on day three And I’m out of medication. I didn’t even have a full dosage for day three. And they charged me for a full five day course of antibiotics.Sneaky on their charges. If I had a print out before I was charged I would have argued that I didn’t need to pay a fee for joining a club I didn’t ask to join. And I will never be returning with my cat, she had to use the litter box and they kept her in the back for thirty minutes filling prescriptions I probably could have got at Walmart. - you guys were helpful with diagnosing my cat's thyroid issues because you were the only place that could get him in, but beyond that. the prices? utterly crazy. then again, that's what you get when you go with a vet owned by private equity i guess.we ended up getting his meds for cheaper at Western. lmaoo August 07 · cryptidpeach
- So on Saturday afternoon around 1 pm my dog was hit by a car, we called around to see who was open for an emergency. Klingle being one of the places who was open and within town to go and see because we didn’t know what time she had left because we didn’t know the severity of her injuries. We aren’t even there yet and the lady on the phone said if we want to wait until 6 we can get her an appointment and be cheaper.. UNTIL 6??? My dog might not be alive in 5 hours but we were gonna take her in regardless cause she was bleeding all over the floor. We arrive they bring out a stretcher like table strap her in and up and into the clinic, we were put in a room immediately because there was no one else there in the parking lot or waiting room (we were still charged emergency as if they were packed). They took her to the back and just did a general exam on her just to kinda see where they needed to start. A tech came back with a price sheet of what x-rays that Dr Julie Howard wanted done including scanning for a collapsed lung internal bleeding or something in her diaphragm. Once we agreed to that they then needed to x-ray her paws and legs because that’s what had been damaged the most at least visually on the outside what was. Haven’t even made it to treatments yet and we were looking at about $1400 in just x-rays and tests. The vet then comes and sweet talks my mom into doing more x-rays and signing up for a care credit cash thing and we now believe once they found out about her getting approved they began to overcharge us because we had a $2500 credit limit. We needed that credit because we only came with $500 and by this time it’s probably 4-5pm and no banks are open and they expected us to pay in full before we left hahaha. So we decided we wanna save our dog and we had them run the tests and x-rays they needed which was “included” in the $1400 before. X-rays came back on her paws and legs with 2 broken toes in one, and on the other multiple fractures to the bones in her leg, but not her bone that allowed her to get up and move around. They then put 2 splints on both of her legs and wrapped her in 2 RTN splints which doing my own research supports wrist and only to our knowledge from the vet was affecting one of her legs. They then charged for 5 medicines giving us only 4 and 3 were the same medicine just different dosages and were to all be used at the same time.We take her home go to sleep and come back next day to get her bandages changed they told us that the fractured leg would need to be changed every single day for 8-10 weeks while the other one could be changed every other day for the same time. Each time going to get them changed they would cost 76 just to walk in and get unwrapped and wrapped and told us we could NOT do this at home because her leg had to be positioned in a certain way or it won’t heal correctly. So for the minimum 8 weeks we were going to pay over $6k just for bandaging her legs which in 2 months not a lot of people make. The same vet then told us that “we don’t understand how much critical and around the clock care she is going to need to heal and recover. I think you just need to euthanize her so go home and think about it.”So on the Monday we had decided the night before we were going to put her to sleep because of the cost and “care” we were gonna need to do. We thankfully got a second opinion from Four Paws in town. The vet there took her bandages off assed her legs and seen that her wounds were already healing, swelling went down, and also contacted an orthopedic doctor to confirm anything he needed to. These doctors thankfully did not tell me that killing my dog was the better option but gave me even greater news my dog would probably be fully healed in 4-6 weeks, we could change her bandages every week not day and by ourselves at home. To call yourselves veterinarians is a joke in its own right, my dog will live and it won’t be thanks to any of you, you got your $1800 congrats you will never see us again and will never recommend anyone to you. - They're the best. They are always so great with our dogs, and give them the best care. Whether it's been an emergency or a routine checkup, they're just awesome to work with and very communicative. The pic isn't from at the clinic, but is my two dogs resting easy after this morning's visit.
