We took our 11 year old cat here for an abscess on her cheek. Allison complained she was skinny....she's always been that way and I explained this to her! She gave our cat a shot of a steroid and sent her home w an antibiotic. Less than 24 hours later my cat died. When we called to let the vet know, she stated that she was skinny and that way the cause of death. Prior to bringing the car there.thr.cat was fine. Eating and drinking fine. I'm convinced she killed our cat. But there's no way to prove it. We are all heartbroken about it. Pretty sure that we won't be bringing any other pet there....l - Cecilia Hunt

Based on common veterinary offerings, you can generally expect services such as:

  • Preventative Care: This includes routine physical examinations, vaccinations to protect against common diseases, and parasite prevention (fleas, ticks, heartworms). Preventative care is fundamental to maintaining a pet's long-term health and preventing serious illnesses.
  • Diagnostic Services: To accurately diagnose health issues, veterinary clinics often utilize various diagnostic tools. These can include blood tests, urinalysis, fecal examinations, and potentially more advanced imaging like X-rays.
  • Medical Treatment for Illness and Injury: When pets become ill or suffer injuries, veterinarians provide medical treatment. This can range from prescribing medications for infections to managing chronic conditions and treating wounds.
  • Surgical Procedures: Many veterinary hospitals offer surgical services for both routine procedures, such as spaying and neutering, and more complex operations required for injuries or certain diseases.
  • Dental Care: Pet dental health is crucial. Services often include dental cleanings, extractions, and advice on maintaining your pet's oral hygiene at home.
  • Nutritional Counseling: Proper nutrition is vital for a pet's health at all life stages. Veterinarians can offer guidance on appropriate diets, weight management, and nutritional supplements.
