Lake Wheeler Veterinary Hospital Reviews
I trust Dr. Grant with my kitty. I thought he was going to need all of his teeth pulled. She is helping us manage his condition with better diet and medication.
Dec 21, 2024 · Valerie SMy first contact with this vet‘s office was when I walked in with my dog and I was rudely told that I needed to wear a mask. OK, no big deal. And secondly, they were not very nice. Very very rude and I believe my first contact was with the vet. I was told they don’t do walk-ins, again that’s OK. Even though they had no dogs, no cats, no lizards, no rats, and no roaches in the office. I kept my appointment 2 days later. I went in and she didn’t even ask if my dog was current on her rabies shot. She did not ask me anything about her history. She just went straight to the examining room and examined the eye that I took her there for which I believe is a cyst but of course, she said “Oh it could be a cyst or a tumor” and it may fall off on its own. I asked if surgery would be necessary because my baby’s eyes are always irritated and this cyst or tumor is hanging on her eyelid. She didn't think it would be necessary. Her prices were reasonable that was OK. But her services were lousy. Customer service was awful. You get what you pay for. To make a long story short her services were horrible and I’m not taking my dog back to her. She is the first vet to classify my girl as a pit bull. I’ve had my girl for 13 years Her previous vets (2) whom she had her entire life before moving to Raleigh never classified her as a pit because she’s not a pit. She’s a brindle lab. She's not a mixed breed. I walked out with a small vial of eyedrops which I don’t think will do the job because this girl has a cyst it’s not just gonna fall off on its own like she said. I am NOT taking her back to see her. This vet has zero manners and zero customer service but in all fairness, she treated my dog pretty decent when I was in the room with my dog I didn’t let my dog out of my sight. My dog is 13 years old and she’s gonna talk to me about my dog being overweight. Yes, I know she’s overweight. The vet walked away from me when I said to her my dog does not overeat. My dog gets one cup of food a day and she said I need to cut her food by a third. She didn't want to hear that so she walked away from me. Fack her!!! The vet needs to cut HER food. Yes, I said it. Yes, I know my dog is huge. I do not overfeed her. One cup of food a day does not a dog make overfed. Needless to say am not taking my dog back to her.
Feb 14, 2025 · ROSE AlzubaidiDo yourself a favor and go see Dr. Grant. I made the switch several months ago and haven’t looked back. She cares, she is affordable, and she know really know what she’s doing. My cat was clearly suffering and I had a lot of unanswered questions at a previous office. After refusing to give my cat fluids, answer any of my questions and try to convince me surgery was the best option, I was desperate to find someone who could help. Dr. Grant has been a blessing. She was able to diagnose my cats kidney disease and equip me with the information and tools to elongate his life. Thank you Dr. Grant! I am forever grateful for your concern and care 💙
Jul 23, 2022 · Paula FreshEvery member of the staff I've interacted with has been incredibly helpful and caring. Doctor Grant easily remembers my cats and their histories, and encourages me to update her on them and their health, even calling to check in a few days after their appointments. The staff has also been very patient and helpful when dealing with my difficult pet insurance. Even after moving away from their location, I'm sticking with them because I know they truly care about their patients and provide excellent service. I would recommend this hospital to any pet parent.
