Oak Heart Veterinary Hospital & Emergency at South Saunders Reviews
The doctors, vet techs and staff at Oak Heart are absolutely incredible!!! Last week our dog, Haw, had an unexpected medical emergency and the expertise and quick action of the staff at Oak Heart ultimately saved his life. Dr. Rachel Blackburn performed surgery to save Haw from GDV (flipped/twisted stomach) 💗 and we are FOREVER thankful for her expertise and care. While under surgery we stayed with our other dog in their comfort room which we were so thankful for especially as we were there overnight. The staff made sure we were comfortable and made it possible to see our Haw immediately after surgery to make sure he was ok. 🥺 We are sincerely and forever indebted to the care, expertise and quick thinking of Rachel, the vet techs and staff at Oak Heart. 💕 Thank you so much for all you have done for our family.
Mar 18, 2025 · Jacque JornsWe recently transferred here from Care First on Oberlin and so happy we did. Caring staff with attention to details. One of our dogs is very nervous and they were able to gently calm her down and get her to a point where she was comfortable being there. Our older dog did great as well with the team. Looking forward to working with them.
Jun 25, 2025 · Tom SimonVery pleased with how professional and kind all the staff were. They seem to care about my pet and we could have an open and honest discussion regarding his care. I didn't feel pushed and they seemed to understand that money had to be a consideration in his care. I appreciated all they did and plan to follow his care plan.
Jun 26, 2025 · Anita BerryI am beyond pleased with Oak Heart! The friendliest, and most welcoming vet I’ve ever been to. My sweet soldier boy is very happy to be in the hands of those who care and aren’t scared of him🥹 We are very grateful for the entire Oak Heart team
Dec 27, 2024 · Iman ZiboukhWe came here to unfortunately put our sweet dog down, based on my cousin mentioning to me how great Oak Heart was at this process. My dogs primary vet simply just offered an exam room & Oak Heart has a special Quiet Room for purposes like euthanasia. I was able to bring my sweet dogs bed & she was offered so much love, treats, and compassion during her final moments. The staff was more than kind, loving, and compassionate, and we were all just meeting one another 🥹. I could feel their pure love for animals. They wrote cards to us, made the cutest ink prints of my baby’s nose & paws, a pawprint plaque and of course her ashesAnyway, I highly recommend them. Their dedication is seen and felt. They helped me greatly during a saddening time.
