Wow, let me just say this team absolutely covers all of their bases, they are by far the most supportive and caring team I have ever taken my cat too. Mars has had so many complications within his life and we finally are getting the answers to chronic conditions he has been living with for a long time. The team explains everything very well and does a great job at easing nerves during these super tough situations. 10/10 beautiful team, amazing services, thank you so much for saving my kitties life." This highlights their capability for complex procedures like blood transfusions and their dedication to uncovering answers for chronic, difficult-to-diagnose conditions.
Another crucial highlight is the profound compassion and empathetic support offered to pet owners during incredibly difficult times, even when the outcome is not as hoped. As expressed by a client who said goodbye to their bunny: "My husband and I said goodbye to our bunny Moose recently, and we are so grateful to the staff here for supporting us during that time. The vet was very knowledgeable and was willing to do everything she could to save him... She was so compassionate while also being straightforward with us about the problem and his chance of survival had we gone forward with surgery. I would recommend them to anyone!" This demonstrates their commitment to clear communication, transparency, and humane end-of-life care, providing comfort and dignity during moments of profound loss. The constant communication and explanation of complex medical situations also greatly ease owner anxiety.

May 03, 2025 · dumpst3rfirreMy husband and I said goodbye to our bunny Moose recently, and we are so grateful to the staff here for supporting us during that time. The vet was very knowledgeable and was willing to do everything she could to save him. Moose ultimately passed, but that was not due to lack of effort by our vet. She was so compassionate while also being straightforward with us about the problem and his chance of survival had we gone forward with surgery. I would recommend them to anyone!
Dec 05, 2024 · Hannah KendrickWe are truly grateful for the wonderful care and support we received at the Small Animal Services. Our pup injured her back and lost all mobility in her back legs (IVDD). As it was a Saturday evening, we were assessing our options and decided on NC State’s Small Animal Services. From the first phone call, to the initial assessment by Dr. Wu, to Dr. Fonseca and the Neurology team, to guidance on after care by wonderful Tech and Resident, it was such a warm, caring experience. We are now on the mend and beginning the physical therapy and couldn’t be happier. As Pack Parents we are very proud of the Small Animal Services clinic. Go Pack!!
Feb 06, 2025 · David EvansMy sweet Kona crossed the rainbow bridge on 9/14/24 at the NC State ER. I had planned for her to pass peacefully at home, but unfortunately her condition progressed quickly and I realized that wasn't an option. NC State vet ER was amazing helping to get her in right away, assessing her and guiding me on options.I wanted to say thank you to the amazing vet that helped me through the worst experience of my life. I really didn't want to be alone, but it happened in the middle of the night and all of my friends were sleeping. The vet stayed with me and helped me feel less alone. She was truly the kindest most compassionate vet and I will never forget how she cared for Kona and helped me through her final moments. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your help. Kona was the sweetest girl and deserved the best care. I am so grateful that she was able to get the best passing possible given the circumstances.
