Their services commonly include:
- Orthopedic Surgery: This is a core area of expertise, addressing issues related to bones, joints, ligaments, and tendons.

- ACL Surgery (Cranial Cruciate Ligament Repair): Beyond TTA, they perform other variations of ACL repair, as noted by the successful surgery performed by Dr. Acquaviva. This is one of the most common orthopedic surgeries in dogs.
- Patellar Luxation Repair: Correction of dislocating kneecaps.
- Fracture Repair: Surgical stabilization of broken bones using various techniques (plates, screws, pins, external fixators).
- Arthroscopy: Minimally invasive joint surgery for diagnosis and treatment of joint conditions.
- Soft Tissue Surgery: Addressing conditions related to organs, skin, and other non-bone structures.
- Tumor/Mass Removal: Surgical excision of benign or malignant growths.
- Abdominal Surgery: Procedures for internal organs such as the spleen, liver, gastrointestinal tract, or bladder (e.g., foreign body removal, cystotomy).
- Thoracic Surgery: Procedures involving the chest cavity.
- Reconstructive Surgery: Repair of wounds, skin defects, or other soft tissue injuries.
- Detailed Consultations: Before any procedure, surgeons like Dr. Leshem provide thorough, in-depth consultations, explaining the diagnosis, discussing various treatment options, outlining the surgical process, and answering all client questions. This is crucial for complex cases.
- Pre- and Post-Surgical Recommendations: They emphasize a holistic approach, including recommendations for pre-surgical preparation and crucial post-surgical physical therapy or rehabilitation, as noted by client experiences. This support is vital for optimal recovery.
- Pain Management: Comprehensive pain control strategies are implemented before, during, and after surgery to ensure the comfort and well-being of the patient.
- Advanced Anesthesia Monitoring: Utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and protocols to ensure the safest possible anesthesia for surgical patients.
- Direct Communication Channels: As highlighted by reviews, they offer direct numbers for questions and photo updates following surgery, ensuring quick responses and ongoing support for concerned pet owners.

This speaks to their overall professionalism and genuine care for the animals and their human families.
- Ethical and Transparent Pricing: The comment, "not rip you off!", indicates a sense of fairness and transparency in their financial practices, which is greatly appreciated by pet owners.

Leshem Veterinary Surgery Reviews
Dr Leshem did the TTA procedure on my dog Lunas knee and did a wonderful job.Luna got the procedure done June 25th, we did a consultation about a month prior where he went into a lot of detail about what happened to her knee, how it can be fixed, what the best option is for her, and answered my very long list of questions in a very thorough and thoughtful way. At this consultation he recommended physical therapy before and after surgery and that was probably the best recommendation we could get as her healing and strength training after surgery is going extremely well and smooth. The staff at this office is incredibly helpful and nice, they will take the time to explain things to you and not make you feel bad about asking. In person and over the phone as following the surgery random things will come up that you want to ask and make sure everything is ok, they give you a direct number to send questions and photos to and always get a quick response.Although you’re probably visiting this office due to a shitty situation, they will definitely make you feel better and not rip you off!I’d also like to state that I moved to Mass. in the middle of the consultation/ waiting for the procedure date and still commuted specifically for Dr. Leshem. Definitely worth it.She is now 15 weeks post op, running around, going on more adventures, not limping, having more trust in her surgery knee, and more importantly acting more like herself.

Our dog came back clean, calm, and well taken care of. We’re so grateful for the care and professionalism throughout the whole process. Highly recommend!

Aquaviva and Lesham for the superb repair and care of my boy....Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Cannot write a good enough review for you!
Apr 26, 2025 · Dawn BradshawDr. Leshem AND his team are amazing. They are very professional while being extremely compassionate and patient. Dr. Leshem is a very talented surgeon and understands how important our pets are to us. My girl Storm tore both her knees at barely a year old. It was tramatic for both her and i but we got through it and she lives a wonderful active life.
