Absolutely love this place! My family dog went here for years and now I take my dog. The staff are super friendly and the vet gives you their time and attention for as long as you need. This is my first dog of my own so I had lots of questions and the vet never acted impatient or in a rush and answered all of my inquiries. They aren't money hungry, I've never felt like they have pushed for any services or recommended something unnecessary. I highly recommend this vet office!

Oct 19, 2024 · Tabitha HarrisI am currently not a regular client at Mad River Veterinary Clinic. Nevertheless, I have dealt with Dr William J Maynard for many years now. My association with him as a client goes back to the fall of 2006, and for many years after that as a regular client. As a doctor, he has always tried to give all of my pets the best care possible. He never makes you feel like you are just another client. As such, in the event of any emergency situation, he is the doctor that you want right there. A very kind man and diligent in his field. The leader that you look up to, and can learn alot from. Furthermore, he has put together a great practice with a friendly group of people. Thank you. Chris Rankin
Nov 13, 2024 · Christopher RankinAfter six years of taking our animals here, I am no longer comfortable trusting Mad River with there care, after multiple negative experiences. The final straw was picking up my cat from a routine dental cleaning to find him and his crate absolutely soaked in urine (pictures included). Nothing was mentioned of his state during the post-op handoff with the vet tech. When we called to complain about this issue, we were told it was because "he's an aggressive cat," which is completely untrue. I have, in fact, had multiple vets and one emergency vet exclaim on how chill and easygoing he is. It was clear that my poor cat had been placed in his crate and given minimal if any care until I picked him up.In addition to this most recent problem, we also had a previous issue with our cat developing a respiratory infection after his last dental procedure before this. After one round of antibiotics, Mad River pronounced it viral and said there was nothing else they could do. On getting a second opinion at another vet, the infection cleared up quickly with a different antibiotic. One of the vet techs at Mad River let slip during an appointment that my cat had been recovering post-op next to a sick cat.I do not recommend taking your animals to this vet for care.
