Mobile House Call operates from its base at 340 Cooley St, Springfield, MA 01128, USA. However, the true strength of their service lies in their mobility and willingness to travel, serving a broad area across Western Massachusetts. While the physical address is in Springfield, their reach extends significantly beyond this immediate vicinity, catering to a wide range of communities, including those near the Connecticut border, as highlighted by a satisfied customer. Dr. Sidorsky and his team travel directly to the client's home, making veterinary care accessible regardless of geographical constraints within their service region.
The accessibility of Mobile House Call is a paramount advantage for Massachusetts pet owners, particularly for those facing specific challenges. For individuals with limited mobility, disabilities, or simply those who find it difficult to transport multiple pets or anxious animals to a traditional clinic, this service is invaluable. The ability to have veterinary professionals arrive "like clockwork" at your "door," as one review perfectly encapsulates, transforms the veterinary experience from a potentially stressful ordeal into a convenient and comfortable interaction. They serve communities far from their Shelburne Falls residence (as mentioned in a review) and Springfield base, demonstrating their commitment to covering a wide portion of Western Massachusetts.
This mobile model eliminates the anxiety many pets experience in unfamiliar clinical environments filled with strange smells and other animals. Instead, pets can receive care in the familiar, calming confines of their own home, which is especially crucial for senior pets, those with chronic illnesses, or animals with behavioral anxieties. For Massachusetts residents, the convenience and comfort offered by Mobile House Call translate into a significant improvement in the quality of veterinary care, making essential services truly accessible and stress-free. The service ensures that distance or mobility issues no longer stand in the way of providing the best possible care for their beloved companions.
Mobile House Call, led by Dr. Sidorsky, offers a specialized range of veterinary services delivered with the comfort and convenience of in-home care. While their name highlights a particular focus, their capabilities extend to broader aspects of general veterinary medicine.
- In-Home Euthanasia Services: This is a core and highly praised service. Dr. Sidorsky provides compassionate and stress-free euthanasia in the familiar environment of a pet's home. This allows pets to pass peacefully, surrounded by their loved ones, avoiding the anxiety of a clinic setting. The service includes taking time to explain the procedure thoroughly, offering emotional support to families, and ensuring a gentle transition.
- General Wellness Exams and Vaccinations: Mobile House Call offers routine health check-ups for dogs and cats in the comfort of your home. This includes physical examinations, necessary vaccinations tailored to your pet's lifestyle, and preventative care discussions.
- Diagnostic Testing: Equipped with "carry on equipment," including "lab equipment" and "exam tools," they can perform essential diagnostics such as blood draws for lab work (as mentioned in a customer review) and other in-home tests to assess your pet's health.
- Health History and Record Keeping: They meticulously take "a careful health history" and enter it into their "mobile computer device," demonstrating a professional approach to record keeping and continuity of care.
- Weight Assessment: They utilize a "quality doggy scale" to accurately weigh pets, a crucial part of monitoring health and ensuring correct medication dosages.
- Medication Administration and Management: While not a pharmacy, they can administer necessary shots and discuss medication plans, offering guidance on ongoing treatment regimens.
- Senior Pet Care Consultations: For older pets, particularly those with mobility issues or chronic conditions, in-home visits are invaluable for monitoring health, managing pain, and providing comfort care without the stress of travel.
- Compassionate Counseling: Beyond medical procedures, Dr. Sidorsky and his staff offer empathetic communication and support, particularly during difficult decisions, ensuring families feel informed and assured. This includes talking to children with compassion, as highlighted in a review.
It is important for clients to understand that while they offer a significant range of essential services, for complex surgeries, extensive imaging beyond portable diagnostics, or hospitalization, they would typically refer to a full-service veterinary hospital. Their model is designed to provide high-quality, personalized care in the home environment, particularly excelling in compassionate end-of-life services and convenient routine care.
Mobile House Call, led by Dr. Sidorsky, offers a set of distinct features and highlights that set them apart in the Massachusetts veterinary landscape, particularly appealing to pet owners seeking compassionate and convenient care.

They "took the time to explain everything and gave us as much time as we needed," showing "so much compassion" to children. This profound empathy during the most sensitive moments is truly invaluable.
- Stress-Free At-Home Care: The ability to avoid "strange smells, people and just a different atmosphere" by having the vet come to the home is a tremendous benefit. For routine visits, it prevents the negative experience often associated with clinic or "pet store clinics" visits, especially for multiple or anxious pets.
- Exceptional Professionalism and Efficiency: Despite being a mobile service, Dr. Sidorsky and his wife "showed up right at our door, rang the buzzer, and in they came," arriving "like clock work." They worked "efficiently and respectfully in our home," demonstrating a high level of organization and professionalism.
- Comprehensive "Carry On" Equipment: They arrive fully equipped with "all of the lab equipment, exam tools and a quality doggy scale," allowing for thorough examinations, blood draws, and immediate assessments right in your living space. This negates the need for multiple trips or external lab visits.
- Personalized and Informative Communication: Dr. Sidorsky "took the time to explain everything" and "talked to my children with so much compassion." They take a "careful health history" and use a "mobile computer device" for efficient record-keeping, ensuring all questions are answered and clients are fully informed.
- Surprising Affordability for In-Home Service: Clients express pleasant surprise at the cost, noting that for three pugs, "all services complete, was $350," which was "well over $500" at traditional vets. This makes high-quality, convenient at-home care more accessible than many might expect.
- Ideal for Specific Needs: Highly recommended for "those with limited mobility" (both pet and owner) and those who "just want their babies spoiled," emphasizing its suitability for diverse client situations. The service is particularly beneficial for senior pets or those with anxiety/mobility issues.

Mobile House Call: Euthanasia services Reviews
We unfortunately had to put our pit bull Jake down after 15 years. Dr. Sidorsky and his staff made a very difficult time as easy and stress free as possible. We didn’t want to bring him somewhere that he would have gotten worked up with strange smells, people and just a different atmosphere. Having him come to us so our dog could go as comfortable as possible in our own home was so comforting to our family. His (bedside manner) was absolutely wonderful. He took the time to explain everything and gave us as much time as we needed. Talked to my children with so much compassion and assured them this is the right choice.I’m only giving 5 stars because 6 wasn’t an option.
Dec 23, 2020 · Sean JohnsonDr. Sidorsky and his wife were easy to contact and a pleasure to speak with. My wife and I are retired and I am disabled. It is not easy to get our three pugs to a vet and it has been a negative experience to go to the pet store clinics. Inevitably, one the girls get sick.We live near the CT border and the Sidorsky live in Shelburne Falls. With such a long distance to travel I was surprised to experience their arrival like clock work. We live in a large condo complex and they showed up right at our door, rang the buzzer, and in they came. They had "carry on" equipment which included all of the lab equipment, exam tools and a quality doggy scale. They took a careful health history and they entered into their mobile computer device. It helped that I prepared by giving them a short paper health history of our doggies. They weighed the puggies, drew blood, and gave them their shots. Our puggies are pretty healthy though the oldest is 15 years old. The Sidorskys gave our puggies a clean bill of health. We worked on an kitchen island, with a cloth on it. They worked efficiently and respectfully in our home, which is a cozy one bedroom apartment. They joked with out pets and with us.What was equally surprising is the price. For the three pugs, all services complete, was $350. We have gone to vets and the price has been well over $500. Also, it was such a pleasure to have such nice AND professional come to our home. For those with limited mobility and those who just want their babies spoiled, please consider Mobile Vet of Western Mass. You will be very pleased and I guarantee you will become a repeat customer.
