- Focus on General Practice: As a dedicated general practice, they aim to provide a broad spectrum of everyday veterinary needs, including wellness, diagnostics, routine surgery, and dentistry, making them a central point for many common pet health requirements.
However, it's also important to acknowledge that some clients have shared concerns:
- Inconsistent Staff Experience: While the doctor receives positive feedback, there have been mentions of "inconsiderate and rude behavior from the rest of the staff" on "multiple occasions," which can be a point of frustration for some pet owners.
- Concerns about Misdiagnosis and Cost: One review specifically raised a serious concern about a potential misdiagnosis (feline leukemia turning out to be a cold) and perceived excessive recommendations for "costly tests," leading to a feeling that the focus was more on "pushing expensive tests than providing accurate and compassionate care."
- Limited Specialized Services: Some clients have noted limitations in the range of specialized services offered, indicating that for anything beyond vaccinations or end-of-life care, referrals elsewhere might be necessary. The clinic's own website also states they are a general practice and partner with specialists for advanced care, which aligns with this feedback.

Its long-standing presence and central location make it a convenient choice for routine wellness, vaccinations, and common medical issues for dogs and cats.

Mooresville Animal Hospital Reviews
I take all my animals to Mooresville Animal Hospital. We have two large breed dogs and 2 cats. Doc and his staff are hands down the best. Very thorough, friendly and always have the best interest for your pet.
Jul 12, 2025 · Rachel RaymondI regret to say that our experience with Mooresville Animal Hospital has been extremely disappointing. While the doctor is kind, professional, and respectful, the rest of the staff falls short of basic courtesy and professionalism. On multiple occasions, we’ve encountered inconsiderate and rude behavior from the staff, which made the experience frustrating and unpleasant. We also had a concerning issue with a misdiagnosis. The doctor claimed our cat had feline leukemia, telling us he only had weeks to live, when in fact, it was just a cold. The recommendation for multiple costly tests seemed excessive and unnecessary. It felt like the doctor was more interested in pushing expensive tests than providing accurate and compassionate care. Moreover, the veterinary services offered at this facility are very limited. If your pet needs anything other than vaccinations or end-of-life care, expect to be referred elsewhere.Overall, we would strongly recommend seeking veterinary care at a different practice where both the staff and doctor show the respect and professionalism that every pet owner deserves. You may also save yourself some money by going elsewhere.
Feb 28, 2025 · David WebsterWe have used Mooresville Animal Clinic for over 10 years with multiple dogs and cats cared for by Dr Tamer Abdalla and his staff. They are sincerely kind and caring towards all pets and owners. Dr Abdalla is exceptional and I feel the best vet in the area and we would not take our pets any where else.
Mar 31, 2025 · Kay DeMariaDr. Tamer Abdallah is wonderful with my boxers. One cries when we pull in the parking lot because she has to see Doc. His staff is great, work very hard, and they are very much appreciated
May 28, 2025 · Sara WattersDr. Tamar and staff are amazing! They have seen all six of our dogs, treating each of them as their own.
