Palmyra Animal Hospital Reviews
My mother is the doctor at Palmyra, and she provides the greatest service for her patients. She has let me watch her work, and she treats her patients with the utmost care and compassion. She is gentle with the animals, and does her work efficiently and practically. She is very well educated, having gone through acupuncture training at Chi Institute. She has a specialized, soothing room for saying farewell to your pet, and understands how difficult it can be.We have dogs and cats of our own, and it is important to value the friendship and love between pets and their owners by taking them to a good veterinarian. As Dr. Nealey's daughter, I heavily recommend her for your veterinary care.
Apr 12, 2024 · Meow MeowHas been an amazing help with all of our cats. When our one cat needed emergency treat and all the hospitals were full Dr. Nealey was able to secure space for us at Cornell Emergency Hospital, saving our cat's life.
Mar 20, 2025 · D BNot a fan.Let me start by saying she is now the 3rd vet in this area that I have brought him to because all the rest of them have been clueless and will not listen to me. She is now one of them. She should have seen that by silly little boy, that is not with me anymore, should have had his stomach pumped right away from the fluids that were making him puff out. Instead she wanted to wait until we had an ultrasound the next day. I asked if there was anything we can do now, and she just went back to wanting to do the ultrasound the next day. How can you not see he is in distress and needed to get fluids out of his insanely puffing up body. He even peed out an awful smell when I picked him up from in the car and into the carrier, I had her smell what was on the cloth of the carrier, and said this doesn't smell like pee...He never does this mind you... She said oh it could be some of the medicine. No it was from the fluid overwhelming his body. She said exactly this way 'If I would like, I could go to the ER to have them look at him' but she never said, you should go to the ER and that he was also anemic...even though she tried to back peddle the next day and say that she told me 'I Should' go to the ER and I told you he was anemic. That was not the tone I received or the dialogue. There was no urgency and only a lets wait and if you want kind of tone. She told me his red blood cell count was low, but I don't know what that means. She should have flagged that as an emergency as well and told me he could possibly need a blood transfusion. Are you not capable of pumping his stomach or blood transfusions here? Are you not a vet that should be able to jump in on these kinds of emergencies? So sadly, because I trusted yet another vet, my boy passed away the following morning in front of me gasping for air!!! My 3 year old silly little boy that was so unique and had such a vibrant personality is now not with me anymore because I was told to wait with no urgency to his state. I have been fighting whatever has been gong on in his body for 6 months now! 6 Months! He would get better, then slip again, I was finally getting correct treatment for him, but this one little F up from a vet that should have said "We Need To Drain This Fluid From Him Now!" caused him his life. I trusted seeing this new Dr. and she failed me, she failed Cedar. And now he is not with me anymore. And that makes me feel like I failed him more then anything and that I killed him.My boy Sage will not be coming here now. I don't even know who to trust anymore as a vet. I threw all kinds of money towards getting my baby better and would have drained every cent to save him and I was doing just that. Money meant nothing to me, his life did. He was my familiar and was attached to me more than just as a fur baby, he was a part of me!I chose the wrong person at the time it was needed the most, who to me seemed to be looking at the clock on closing hours rather than saying I am staying past time, lets get him better. There is no getting him better now.Good luck on your practice. I hope nobody else has to go through this with their kitto. Also clean your place. For a doctors office, it is very dirty. That should have been my 1st sign to turn around and walk away. If you cant care for your practice, why on Earth would you care for our fur babies. We had a fighting chance to finally fix what was wrong, and you killed that fighting chance with only a few visits.Heart Shattered💔Cedar April 5th 2020 - August 21st 2023Taken far to soon from what is becoming a selfless world
