What is Worth Choosing
Choosing a pet care provider is a critical decision, and Paws Whiskers and Claws presents a unique and compelling option for pet owners in Marietta, Georgia. The most significant reason to choose this establishment is its specialized focus on feline care. Many veterinary clinics treat cats as small dogs, but Paws Whiskers and Claws understands the unique anatomy, behavior, and emotional needs of cats. As one client noted, the clinic’s "little things...like soft cloths on the table in cat-friendly rooms is comforting for both me and my cat." This dedication to creating a low-stress environment is a major factor for cat owners, especially those with anxious pets. The expertise of the professionals, including Ingrid, a cat behavior consultant, is also a significant draw, offering insight that goes beyond standard medical treatment and into a holistic understanding of a cat’s life and happiness.
It is important for prospective clients to consider all aspects of the business, including the customer service. A public review raised serious concerns about a client care coordinator, Dian, citing issues with rudeness, lack of information, and unprofessional behavior, including a public shouting incident. The review also mentioned that personal opinions were added to medical records, which is a major concern for client trust and privacy. While this is a serious and specific incident that should not be overlooked, it is balanced by other feedback. The same reviewer praised a veterinarian for being "kind and spent a lot of time" with them and their cat, giving her "5 stars." Another long-term client praised the professionalism of the staff and the tailored care their cats received. This suggests that while there may be issues with specific personnel or client-facing procedures, the core veterinary medical care is of high quality.
Ultimately, Paws Whiskers and Claws is worth choosing for those who prioritize specialized feline care and a wide range of services in a single, accessible location. The combination of a veterinary hospital, pharmacy, and pet store simplifies pet ownership. While a potential client should be mindful of the customer service issues noted in a review, the expertise of the medical staff and the clinic's dedication to creating a comfortable and safe environment for cats make it a valuable resource for anyone in the Marietta area with a feline companion. For pet owners who value a truly tailored, compassionate, and expert approach to cat wellness, this clinic remains a top choice.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had a very disappointing experience with their client care coordinator, Dian. From the beginning, she was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. When I asked for basic pricing information on food, anti inflammatory med, and a dermal gel, she told me she was “not in the place to provide it”. Instead of trying to help or offering an alternative, she placed me on hold and sounded aggravated the entire time. She even called me flippant over the phone because I had a lot of questions. I didn’t feel a multiple pack of different food flavors was necessary. I just wanted to do one thing at a time. The dermal gel to increase my cat’s appetite was also unnecessary. My cat has a big appetite. She didn’t want to listen to the needs of the patient. She just kept getting more rude over the phone. She told me to get the dermal gel because I’ve been feeding my cat McDonald quality food and transitioning her to tofu. What’s the harm in transitioning the cat to different food without the appetite stimulant gel. If sushi didn’t take to the new food, then I could request the dermal gel. It was her way or the Hwy. I wish I could have spoken to the vet instead of her. Nonetheless, out of genuine concern, I then asked her who hurt her because she was being incredibly mean towards a patient that has reasonable questions. I included the vet note to read.Even worse, important details from our phone conversation were left out of the medical record note. But explains in the note that she was “bending over backwards” hardly felt that way to me. She made me feel like I was the problem for asking follow up questions. She also added notes in sushi’s vet record as she inserted her own perspective that I brought my cat to multiple veterinary clinics. I don’t know where she got that idea from. I never said that. She just assumed instead of asking questions. I travel for work and had my vet record transferred only once while my brother was keeping sushi while I was working out of town for a long period of time and unable to take sushi with me to Alaska. She didn’t add to the note that she stated she was saving me $4000 by avoiding a ER vet visit and I should purchase what she was recommending. What shocked me most was her attitude—she was defensive, dismissive of my questions, and even told me to “take my business elsewhere” after I asked why she was treating me so disrespectfully. That is unacceptable behavior for anyone in a client-facing role, especially in a veterinary practice where compassion and clear communication are so important. In addition, when Dian initially answered the phone, she was shouting, “don’t change the oxygen tanks, there is a patient under anesthesia” that sounds so incredibly unsafe for the pet and unprofessional to answer the phone that way.Dian is far from compassionate and informative care and shouldn’t be allowed to answer phones or interact with patients. I added sushi’s vet record for everyone to see how my of her personal opinion is added to the vet notes so be aware that if Dian writes your notes she will include her emotional responses instead of medical related notes.Because of this experience, I took my cat to a different vet, where I was treated with respect and understanding. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this clinic as long as Dian is the first point of contact for clients.I will include the Vet that helped me the last visit was kind and spent a lot of time with me and my cat. I’d give her 5 stars. The other care coordinator’s have been polite and helpful too.
August 28 · Jenn GI started bringing my cats to PWC a couple years ago as my older kitty was having behavior issues at the regular vet; not his fault it was just the nature of the process there. The little things PWC does like soft cloths on the table in cat-friendly rooms is comforting for both me and my cat. The professionals here are not only cat experts, they logically evaluate and treat based on their knowledge and experience that is truly tailored to cat anatomy and behavior. Yes, my cats are my kids lol. Ingrid has also been a miracle for my older cat as he cannot groom himself properly, and she has fountains of advice and insight into how to meet our cats’ needs and manage any behaviors. I am definitely a cats-only vet supporter for forever now!
March 05 · Brette WinstonThe veterinarians and vet techs at Paws, Whiskers and Claws are the most knowledgeable, kind and supportive people I’ve ever encountered. They take care of both my furry friends - and although my cats don’t love going to the vet (I mean, what kitty does?!) - the PWC team makes each visit as calming and easy as possible. PWC also works with great vet partners to make sure my girls stay healthy. Highly recommend!
January 30 · Patricia BerryhillIt is one of the very few Cat-only veterinary clinics, and it is amazingly clean, neat, and well organized. They take the time needed to diagnose and properly treat your pet. They are laser focused on your fur babe(s), and we have never been disappointed as we have been 'patients' for almost twelve years. They are serious about your pets' healthcare, and it shows. They even carry Feline foods and toys, which makes a visit super productive to grab the kids some chow and a new 'cat appropriate' play toy or treat!
October 10 · Simple Finds Consignment Designer Outlet MallThere is no vet I’ve seen with deeper expertise on cats and care for her feline patients. We absolutely love Dr Globerman and her staff. Her medical care and lifestyle recommendations have been spot on. Worth a drive if you are not local. Your cats deserve it and so do you! Picture of happiest cat for reference.
