★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I wish I could give 5 star. The people and the place were nice and seemed like they cared for the animals. However, I took my pup here to get spayed. The clippers or something they used were not clean and left her with a staph infection all on her belly that started spreading. The incision wasn’t stitched up closed properly so it didn’t what heal. $700 later from her regular vets and she is finally 4 weeks later feeling better. I understand they are low cost and a non profit so I wanted to support but at the same time my pup ended up with an infection afterwards.
August 13 · WiltedRose 272They refused to sell us flea treatment because I told them my dog had a seizure. My dog had a seizure one time in August of 2017 after being in a car for 13 hours. She's had flea treatments of all types her entire life. She's badly allergic to fleas and she will scratch herself until she bleeds if she gets bitten. Instead of helping us they sent us home with even more fleas. They apparently have never seen a dog with flea allergy and definitely made the wrong call by sending her away without treatment. She'll be suffering for 4 more days until another veterinarian will see her.
May 29 · Robert LambertAmazing people helped me when I thought my puppy was pregnant she went into heat early they got me into a canceled appointment spot and we got her spayed and they even trimmered her nails so nicely they send home instructions for after care
March 30 · Denise HrostekThe office staff are very nice. That is where my nice comments end. This was my experience and maybe it was a one off but I am totally disappointed in Pet Luv. I brought my boxer in for a routine neuter. A young completely healthy 1year old dog. He now has an infection in the incision as well as his testicles. He cannot lick because he has 3 surgery suits as well as a collar. I have to change his suits all of the time becasue his testicals leak with infection. Pictures would be way to graphic to post. I brought him back once to have this addressed and they gave him 2 shots and antibiotic. Nothing helped. I cannot go back because we are at a point where my dog needs another surgery to fix the infection. I cannot trust that they would not make the situation worse. I went to Petluv to help support a clinic but now I feel like I made a big mistake. I read other comments that say the same "infection situation" happened with dogs/cats which makes me doubt the cleanliness of the surgery tables, equipment, etc. I am not looking to bad mouth the facility I am just letting others know my experience. Again, the office staff are very nice! I wouldn't know about the Vets as you never get to meet them.
August 26 · S. G.The best prices around but it usually comes with a modest wait time. The staff could do much better with the care of the animals though. My little one was brought into the lobby with feces all over him and no attempt from them to clean him up. Cost effective but very impersonal especially when it comes to the care of the animals.
