Peter Matthew Koplos Reviews
Dr. Koplos has no beside manner whatsoever. I cannot comment on his expertise as a surgeon. Dr. Koplos performed two surgeries on my small dog after he was bitten by a pitbull. Immediately after the second surgery, I was told by Dr. Koplos that my dog had a "reasonable chance" of making a full recovery. When my dog's health deteriorated further, I never heard back from Dr. Koplos. He pulled a disappearing act. I had to call back a couple of times to speak to another Vet who was familiar with my dog's case.I agree wholeheartedly with the other reviews that Dr. Koplos is primarily interested in the money. And I am saying this from the standpoint of someone who did not pay a penny since the owner of the pitbull had an home owners insurance policy that covered all the steep expenses here.
Mar 02, 2024 · Dr.Jeffrey LissHad great service here. Dr. Koplos was able to diagnose the problem immediately after I had already taken my dog to another vet who couldn't figure out what was wrong with my darling Doberman. I am forever grateful for what he and his staff did to fix my dog. My dogs are family to me and when they hurt I hurt. I was so worried about her, but as soon as I took her to this place and Dr. Koplos saw her, he was able to put me at ease by attending to my dog and fixing the problem. Thank you again.
Oct 25, 2017 · Arleen BeardMy dog was run over, and I asked the doctor on staff if it were best to put my 9 year old shitsu down. Since he was old, and if he would need further medical treatments such as surgery, it was my decision to put him down. Instead they made me wait over night which cost me 700 for a surgical team to contact me. In the morning I reminded them that I did not want the surgical consult since I would not be able to pay for surgery or their daily and nightly rates while he recovered. The doctor put me on hold came back and said the surgical team over looked his x rays and decided he would be fine with time. Instantly saving me a 200 consult fee which was for nothing since they already knew my dog would be fine. At which point they took advantage of my sadness and compassion for my dog and convinced me to leave him there for the weekend, which would of been 2 more night, instead it turned into 5 nights. During the weekend I called to check on any improvements and none of my questions were answered. In the end I paid over 1500, money I did not have and had to borrow from friends and family. To this day my dog still cannot walk. Now with a heavy heart I may have to put him down, because all they wanted was their money. People here value profit over quality of life.
Oct 22, 2012 · Old “2the” AccountThis is the same place that has 1 star ratings as 'emergency animal hospital.' Somehow they keep messing with their ratings. But keep bringing your pets here and learn your own hard lesson if the reviews aren't enough for you. They will cause you more pain you can imagine, take your money at the same time, and harm or kill your pet; all without any legal repercussions. If you're already at this clinic, get out. Because not leaving cost me my pet.

Jul 09, 2018 · victor sanzI wish I could give this place zero stars. Our dog was attacked late at night and we took him here. He had several deep lacerations, with the longest being approximately 1 inch in length. Having some medical experience, I new that he'd at least need x-rays, a heavy course of antibiotics, pain meds and stitches/staples for his wounds. They gave us two options: 1) overnight treatment for $400 or 2) full treatment for $1500. I know emergency vet care is expensive, but $1500 to do x-rays, stitch him up, and give him antibiotics and pain meds (and that's assuming they didn't find anything internal with the imaging)? No thanks. So, we went with the $400 option, assuming they would clean his wounds, give him temporary bandaging, etc. NOPE. When we picked him up the next morning, his wounds weren't shaved or cleaned. They dressed only the deepest laceration with gauze, and I think my 4-year-old niece would have done a better job. He was still covered in his own blood and they didn't even get the mud off of him from the attack. When we took him to another vet, the vet was shocked that they did so little. He also was appalled with the bandaging (he thought we had bandaged him up because it looked so unprofessional). So, we essentially dropped $400 for them to put him in a cold cage, withhold pain meds and antibiotics, and leave him to suffer through the night. I will NEVER go back to this place again.
