In the heart of Battle Ground, Washington, lies a dedicated and respected establishment that specializes in raising these precious animals: Rose City Felines, also known as Cozy Cottage Ragz. The owner, Terri, has been raising Ragdolls since 2015, bringing a wealth of experience and passion to her work. The cattery is a small, quaint operation located on the Washington/Oregon border, giving it a local charm that resonates with the community. Here, every cat is a part of the family, raised "under foot" and given an abundance of love and attention from day one. The cattery's goal is not just to sell a kitten but to improve the Ragdoll breed itself, focusing on health, personality, and type. They ensure their breeders are from top-notch lines and have been extensively tested for over 50 genetic health conditions, including HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy), making this a trusted source for a healthy pet. For Washingtonians looking to add a truly special feline to their home, Rose City Felines offers an opportunity to find a companion that is not only beautiful but also well-socialized and healthy from the start.

Dedicated Services for Responsible Breeding and Kitten Placement
Rose City Felines is a specialized service focused entirely on the art and science of breeding and raising Ragdoll cats. Their comprehensive approach ensures that every step of the adoption process is handled with care and transparency, from the moment a kitten is born to the day it goes to its new home.
- Ethical Breeding and Genetic Health Screening: The cattery prides itself on its rigorous health standards. All breeder cats are DNA tested through Optimal Selection for over 50 genetic health conditions, including being negative for HCM and PKD. The cattery itself is also FeLV/FIV negative, ensuring a healthy environment.
- Comprehensive Kitten Care: Each kitten receives meticulous care, including being spayed or neutered, dewormed, and microchipped before going home. They receive at least two FVRCP vaccines and come with a two-year health guarantee. Kittens are also litter box trained and free of parasites.
- Extensive Socialization: The kittens are raised "under foot," meaning they are constantly exposed to people and a loving home environment. This ensures they are properly socialized and do not fear people, other animals, or new environments, making their transition to a new home much easier.
- TICA Registration and Pedigree: All litters are registered with The International Cat Association (TICA), and owners receive their TICA slip. This registration provides assurance that you are receiving a true, pedigreed Ragdoll and that the cattery abides by TICA's ethical guidelines.
- Adoption and Support Process: The cattery maintains a waitlist, and those on the list get to choose their kitten before it is offered to the public. They offer in-home visits at around 6-7 weeks of age so you can see the kitten's personality firsthand. They also provide a care packet with food, vaccination records, toys, and a contract at pickup. The breeder remains available for questions even after the kitten has gone home.

- A Woman-Owned Business: The cattery is identified as a woman-owned business, highlighting a personal and dedicated approach to the care of their cats and the relationships with their clients. This often translates to a higher level of hands-on care and a deep passion for the animals they raise.
- Emphasis on Cleanliness and Environment: Customer reviews consistently mention the clean environment of the home and cattery. This is a critical factor for preventing illness and ensuring the kittens are raised in a healthy, sanitary space.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had never had a cat before, but after much research, my husband and I landed on wanting a Ragdoll kitten. I searched all throughout the PNW, but Terri’s Ragdolls caught my attention right away. They were the most beautiful cats I’ve ever seen. When I first got on the waitlist, Terri was very quick to reach out and answered all my questions. She kept in touch until my kitten became available. At six weeks, I was allowed to visit the kittens to see which would be the best fit.I picked up my kitten from Terri a few weeks ago. Her home was very clean and her cats were all very beautiful, well behaved, and loved. My kitten, Nanno, has been so sweet right off the bat. She is insanely cuddly, smart, loving, likes to give kisses and is playful. She came to me litter box trained and has never had an accident. Everyone she has met has loved her.Thank you, Terri, for my sweet Nanno. I cannot recommend this cattery enough.

July 17 · evrim collinsIt was so great working with Terri to find my perfect baby boy. I appreciated the communication and being able to visit the kittens before choosing to make sure it’s a good match. Winston’s been home with me for 3 weeks and is the sweetest kitten I’ve ever met. I took him in for his next round of vaccines and everyone at the vet clinic is obsessed with him, saying they haven’t seen a true ragdoll being a ragdoll in a while 😂. I did a lot of research ahead of time and am so happy I went with Rose City Felines. 🩵
May 24 · Coleen MaloneyWe had a fantastic experience with Rose City Reclines! Terri was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and made the whole process easy and comfortable. It’s clear she cares deeply about her Ragdolls and where they’re going. We’ve had Rimuru for 5 weeks now, and he’s been an absolute joy! He’s a happy, silly boy with such a fun personality—it’s been amazing watching him grow and settle in. I’m so grateful to Terri and highly recommend Rose City Felines to anyone looking for a Ragdoll from a responsible, caring breeder.
June 03 · Amanda BlountWe have had nothing but giggles, snorts and full-on belly laughs with these two in the house. When they zip around the house they sound like a small herd of ponies, they love snuggles and sleeping with the dog. They are avid bird and squirrel watchers, complete with twitchy whiskers. We have had ragdolls for decades and loved our experience with Rose City Felines from the beginning. Terri is knowledgeable and has the best interest of her cats in her heart from planning the litters to making sure they go to good, safe homes. I would absolutely, 100%, recommend getting your healthy, funny, squishy kitten or kittens ;), from her. You will not be disappointed.
